I just finished cutting all the pieces and the slot for the front support and will start assembling this week. Thanks so much for the good instruction and plans from a 75-year-old who loves the smell of wood. Hope it looks similar to yours when done.🤞

Used your side dimensions to build a back yard garden bench. Used the angles from another video. That way I had a sloped seat as well as the back. Used 2x4s for the back and seat instead of 1x4s. Thanks for the help. Turned out really great!

Great plans! I used pressure treated lumber because cedar is hard to come by and expensive these days and widened it by 2 inches. I also beefed up the seat and back slats with 5/4 PT deck treads because I had them left over. Very Happy with the outcome. Once it dries out I'll seal it and paint it and it should last a heck of a long time!

Same here. Using treated lumber and having it sit 2 inches higher. I have my kids (and my handyman) building it RN for fathers day. Will last forever and mean tons when my handyman friend is dead and my kids are out of the house. It will be more than a chair to me.

Very nice chairs. Sadly I'm living in country where it's almost impossible to get a inch tape measure. So had to redraw the chair in SketchUp to get consistent metric measurements to build them. All said and done they really nice, even cut the leg shorter on two of them for the mother inlaw that is really short... great, thx

Great plans, thanks! I had to make one modification - I lack the skills to make the notch in the front legs for the 2x6 (gave up after two tries) so just cut the 2x6 shorter (25”) and used 4” screws from the sides. Seems to hold OK. I made two of them, and (once I got over my roadblock of the notches) they were super easy to build.

Thanks for amazing video and details. I used basic concepts from your video and the plan but built using walnut. For structure i used walnut gun stocks which i bought from the company which looks like going out of business. So used 4 gun stocks $5 each and for seat/back and armrest used some other reclaimed really old walnut milled in 1952. Enjoyed the overall build process. I hope you like how it came out.
