- U.S. Marines Soldiers undergo jungle survival training, hand to hand combat training, weapons training and tactical training with the Indonesian Marines during the Korps Marinir (KORMAR) Platoon Exchange 2019 program in East Java, Indonesia. The KORMAR platoon exchange program between Indonesia and the U.S. involves each country sending a platoon of Marines to live and train together at the other's military base. This program enhances the capability of both services and displays their continued commitment to share information and increase the ability to respond to crisis together.

Skill individu prajurit TNI masih diatas US (teknik bertahan hidup, skill menembak, ketangkasan, dsb) TNI banyak memenangkan perlombaan ketangkasan militer tingkat internasional.
Tetapi yg perlu diingat skrg ini bukan jaman perang dunia kedua lagi. Militer negara maju sdh menghindari hand to hand combat, skrg ini kekuatan udara yang berperan (air superiority). Jet-jet tempur siluman, rudal antar benua, dll.
Masih ingat peristiwa Hiroshima dan Nagasaki kan? Cukup 1 bom atom dijatuhkan di suatu kota, ratusan ribu orang bisa tewas seketika. Itu kemampuan US 74 tahun yang lalu yah, jadi jangan bayangkan kemampuannya yg skrg.
Negara kecil seperti Korut saja punya rudal antar benua yg bisa mencapai daratan Hawai tanpa mereka perlu mengirim pasukan kesana.
Semoga negara kita makin sejahtera, anggaran pertahanan bisa makin bagus supaya punya kesiapan menghadapi tantangan perang modern. Tapi yg lebih penting semoga dunia makin aman dan damai
tapi ingat juga di PD 2, US memenangkan semua pertempuran yg mereka jalani. & berhasil menyelamatkan semua negara sekutunya dgn menghancurkan Jepang & Jerman. jadi bukan hanya penghancur massal saja seperti di Nagasaki. pertempuran Langsung pun mereka selalu menang. memang ketika mereka berlatih dgn negara" lain sprti Malaysia, Filipina, Indonesia dll terlihat biasa saja. tapi mereka bisa tau sebatas mana kemampuan lawan berlatih mereka tanpa harus menunjukan kemampuan bertempurnya...

My dad had to take a private class for aikido to be good at hand to hand combat.
@@thepersonwhogivesflashback9757 because melee combat training in our army has always been focused on silat, mainly on specific techniques for deflection, submission, takedowns, and sharp weapon combat, with sharp weapon combat taking precedence since, well, it's silat. Aikido is a martial art that is mainly focused quick takedowns.
