Hi just found your Chanel and watching John doing his exercises is definitely more useful than watching a fully fit physiotherapist doing them. I’m coming up to the 1 year anniversary since my stroke. My right side is affected but my arm and hand are recovering better than my leg. I can’t move my right leg sideways and just by a twitch upward. My right leg below the knee is noticeably thinner than the left one and I seem to have poor circulation. I don’t feel that I have made noticeable progress for several months although I go to the gym twice a week. Are there any specific exercises you would recommend. Thanks, Chris.

@@chris-4566 Chris, it takes a long time and the exercise repetitive/ In regards to the questions posed, I will follow up with Jaba, my Exercise Physiologist and get back to you with some ideas. Cheers, John

@@strokerecovery-rehabjourne1368 Hi John, thanks for your lightening quick response. I have made pretty good progress after 10 weeks in hospital. I was unable to speak for nearly 2 weeks. In fact the nurse told my wife that I might not make it through the first night. So, buoyed by the fact that I’m still alive and kicking, I’m looking to make the best progress I can. I go to the gym twice a week and on the days in between I do my home exercises, using what I can find on CZcams. Finding you on CZcams gave me such a boost, it’s much more relevant to me to see other stroke patients struggling, but ultimately succeeding at the various exercises. Any advice you have for me will be useful. I can even send a video of where I’m at rather than trying to explain but, in short, I’m low on stamina and would like to walk better. Thanks Chris

This is a great routine that I will add to my exercise profile. What is CC the name of the band he was wearing on his arm that will get other weaker muscles to work in conjunction with main muscles to be symmetrical to the normal side please?
