A single strand of electric fencing deer will run right through. A two or three strand electrified fence has been a pretty good deterrent. Also works: two non-electrified fences at about 3' high 4-5 feet apart. This last is particularly good if you realize deer come from just one direction and are tasting as they travel through. It is important to put that up and change their travel route so it is in place right after they give birth in the spring and start moving about.
When you talk about flowers I just wanna grow them all. I started looking for lisianthus seeds after I saw you passion for them. Good luck, and stay safe.

I bought one from walmart, premade and i made four from 44gallons trash bins. Planning to put 6 more barrels. These are the garden life-savors. also, glad you did not have it hard with your covid. My daughter got it, i did not(she lives with me), but she only lost her taste for a few days, that was all.
So glad you made it thru the 14 days with no issues, also glad to hear your friend is on the mend. Your tin roof sounds like a train going slow down the track. We use to get snow...Maryland's eastern shore...mostly rain all winter now =^/

QUESTION: How many CSA's did you do this year? I know you've invested a lot in the past couple years, so did you limit to that # of CSA's because of possibility of not having enough flowers to do anymore than that, or because that is all you will have TIME to pick & arrange?

I've ordered some Dahlias to try growing a few for the first time, so I'm just curious if there's anything to look out for to avoid this! 😥
I have and I will again. They are on the shorter side when it comes to vase life but you can use boiling water to sear the ends and extend their vase life!

Deer you can do a two-tiered system. There are several farms around me that do this, it's not electrified and it's not tall. Depth perception thing.

There was no evidence of disease when I planted them. Bummer. It was both crown and leafy gall.
