  • The 🇲🇾 Malaysian Karting Track Tour Series 2024 continues with a return to Pinnacle Kart, Subang.
If there's one complain I have about this track is that the SODI RX8s were just way too slow for such a nice layout.
When I learnt the guys recently brought in the Tillotson T4 Karts, I had to give it another shot.
It's mind boggling that THIS was my fastest lap of the day. Missed a couple of apexes, throttle all over the place. I left the track that day feeling extremely frustrated because I just couldn't get the hang of this kart + track combo.
Need to go back and improve! Will definitely return to Pinnacle to clean up this mess I left behind.
    Lap Time (PB): 51.323 seconds

Nicee, yesterday i went there first time on a racing kart and i got a 50.890, i think the issue that you have is that you are pushing a tad bit hard because your steering looks very aggressive and oversteery

Quick! Yes I definitely lost a lot of time by trying to keep the kart under control. Lots of room for improvement.

@@JLracingMY yeah keeping the kart under control is not easy, especially at that high speed curve behind there, your kart just wants to turn more so you gotta counter, two things i did notice you could improve is that T1 and the hairpin turn after the long curve, T1 try braking a bit earlier you looked like you were braking a bit too late causing that snap, personally I brake around the part where the colour changes, the hairpin after the long curve, it looked like you went for a more middle line, try to use all the track, for me I just point towards outward and just kinda trail in a straight line, lift and turn but also stabbing the throttle through the corner, but downside of that is drifting on exit, especially the uphill part, but overall pretty good lap considering the fact you needed to control the kart a lot, not easy to keep this T4 in check

@@MrCosmicGalaxy thanks man! I’ll try these out next time. Do you modulate your throttle? Or you stomp on it like how you would the regular sodi karts? Funnily enough at city karting I managed to set a respectable time with their 125cc karts, but this one I just couldn’t master it at all.

@@JLracingMY well I definitely don't stomp on the throttle, that's a sure fire way to spin out, so I kinda lightly to mediocrely tap it, somewhat like Senna's throttle technique, but because of the track and the T4 karts, its very easy to drift with that technique soo if you do go there next time, play around with how much throttle you put in while cornering, because it depends on the driver aswell

@@MrCosmicGalaxy so modulate then. Got it. Thanks man!
