Design not your strong point? Use the Explore button in Google Slides to create beautiful presentations with zero effort! Also, a bonus tip on inserting images in Slides!
If the button doesn't pop-up, you may go to the Tools section in the menu bar. Tools - explore. However, you must create a new slide for it to help you in the layouts.
@OLIVIA RANSOM It's likely that you had too many text boxes or images on the slide. Try putting everything in one or two text boxes and with a maximum two images.
It did not come for me at first but it came, you need to create a new slide and start editing it if the explore icon is yellow in colour you can use it, if it is not yellow you can not use it.
Well done! Would love to see a follow up for kiddos (ages 11-14) on how to keep text to a minimum, never change the aspect ratio, and creating a dynamic presentation! (Because I'm too lazy to do this myself even though I'm also Google Certified! LOL) Cheers!
The built-in image search is already filtered for images available for non-commercial reuse, but it's always worth checking separately. My go-to site for free images is unsplash.com

Sadly. The explorer function has been removed from all Google. It will not be replaced. You have to go back to old school manually doing everything.

I dont see the explorer button. I did all the step but nothing.
You'll find it in the 'Tools' menu at the top of the screen.
explore button is not there in the new update
You'll still find it under 'Tools' on the menu
my explore wasn't yellow and therefore didn't work :(
O you are a life saver oay
Thanks!
Thank you I could not figger it out
Hi, I add an image but I get no design options when I click on the explore button. Any tips please?
This usually happens if there are too many different elements on the slide. Try reducing the number of different text boxes/images.
i don’t see explore on the bottom
it only works on one slide and nothing els
dude there is no explore button anymore
You beautiful human you
Mine doesnt work. My explore button provides no layout tools whatsoever
It's likely that you had too many text boxes or images on the slide. Try putting everything in one or two text boxes and with a maximum two images.
EXPLORE button doesn't exist for me (Jul 2024)
how do I get more layout options?
If you're not seeing many options, try reducing the number of images or text boxes you have on the slide.
How to save it
What about citing those images?
