Thank you, Wayne, for reminding us every couple of years that all we need are the basics for truly beautiful complexion at any age. It's so easy to get distracted by new and flashy products, but nothing beats cream foundation, translucent powder, and setting spray.

This reminds me of a blush application video you did a few years ago where you instructed us that the final look should be as if we "were frolicking through a field with secrets", and which has been the way I apply color to my cheeks ever since 😉

@Abc Defgh I don't know exactly when Wayne posted it, maybe two years ago. The technique is to apply the blush to the middle apples of the cheeks and sweep slightly outward towards the temples and then a small (tiny) amount across the bridge of the nose to give a natural flushed look. Sometimes I skip the nose part but the look is very fresh faced and pretty. As long as you use a light hand. Too much and you run the risk of looking like Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane 😂😂😂

I believe he meant when he covers his eye to avoid getting shiny under his eyes, because he’s a little puffy there. The shine on the puffiness will just make it look exacerbated.
Which spray is it
I’m just turning 70. All this powder is way too much for me as I have very dry skin. Not many wrinkles but powder isn’t a friend to me. I use setting spray and spray in between layers. However if I used this much powder I would be in the Sahara desert. I do appreciate all the videos you make for older women you are our hero!
Wayne, I LOVE your powder!!! I just turned 58 and I get SO MANY compliments on my skin. It does lock in my foundation, in fact my foundation lasts for hours and doesn’t transfer, but somehow I look radiant and luminous, not matte and cakey. I will buy this powder again and again.

I left a comment last week: Wayne make more content about your own foundation, it's amazing and then my wish came true. Thank you, sir. By coincidence, just used your foundation today. I use the Sonia G, mini base brush and stipple. I don't think I've ever tried your foundation with a beauty blender. Going to try this routine soon. PS: would love for you to come out with a setting spray. I always think they have too much fragrance and alcohol...would like to have one that was effective but without being drying or obnoxiously scented...
Right on! A setting spray to set and hydrate and leave a satin finish. Yes please!! And NO sparkle. That would be amazing!!! ❤
I have watched many tutorials and none make me feel good, yours is the first video to make me feel good about using makeup! Your a life saver, I am in my 40's with dry skin and need moisturizer for everything! I always felt something was off for my foundation application, to my undereyes and eyeliner for smaller eyes, you name it! Thank you for what you do!

My fave makeup product is blush. When you said you might as well paint your entire face pink. I smiled with joy. That's me. I use a blush powder and put it on my nose cheeks and eyes. This was super helpful for me. I don’t think I’ve been applying my foundation well at all. If you ever feel like doing a quick tutorial on using blending sponges, I’d love it. I’m hopeless with them.

Use of wrong colors can age, I rarely saw a video about using the right colors (blush, foundation, eyeshadow etc) for : different skins and their undertones. Over 40 it's very important to change not only the texture but the colors as well.
Just got some of your mascara and it truly is the best I have ever used. Love love love it. I love your eyeshadow pallets and lipstick. Haven't been able to try the foundation or powder. Hope it restocks soon. Your sense of humor, brilliant. Lol.

Wow it looks perfectly natural! I'd like to try your makeup as well as the powder but it is very difficult to determine a shade from the website posted. I have a light/fair skintone, look best in neutral colors rather than cool or warm but the lighter swatches shown on the model's arm show pure white.
These are fun tutorials. Can't wait to try this one. I have to say, however: you look great with and without makeup.

I am 55 and hating make-up as it accentuates the wrinkles. I am aware less is more at my age but still couldn't make ANYTHING work.
I shall experiment with your techniques and will be purchasing at the very least your powder and lipstick for blush. My daughter showed me a similar technique with a liquid and powder blush the others week. It looked great. Layering and building colour, definitely works wondrers.

OMG the setting spray layering is genius!!! I had such a hard time with using setting or foundation powders because it would leave my face flat & lifeless but the setting spray layered makes a world of difference!
