Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, & Disney were the HOLY TRINITY of cartoons
    - Nick mostly working on casual, everyday lives, and for the average-yet-unique types (exceptions are Avatar and TMNT 2012). They also chose to bring back nostalgia as a continuation to the original. However, one issue is a so-called lack of variety.
    - CN focusing more on storyline and ending their shows with great finale, while also keeping up with the bizarre personality of a show and its characters. However, they chose the path to recreate nostalgia to fit the new status quo, instead of continuing the original. But, at least they're putting in a barrage of new shows to add to it's zany variety of shows.
    - Disney has sort of a mix of both emotional storyline and fun-filler episodes.
Also, let's not forget Nick and Disney's 'siblings' of Nick Jr, Teen Nick, Disney Jr, & Disney XD, as well as CN's 'cousins' Toonami & Boomerang.

This means that me and Kevin (narrating the video) had the same TV provider, but not anymore. Though we live in different markets, as I'm from Illinois, while he's from Michigan, this might depend what channel number is Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon if you live in different cities, markets and counties.

Not to mention barely having new nicktoons since 2012 or the “ camp Coral” controversy. (Though CN also had its blunder like not airing the last 8 episodes of Code Lyoko, leaving everyone withouth a finale and them eventually forgetting it as a result).

Okay, no! Cartoon Network is SHIT nowadays! All they care about is Teen Titans Go! Nickelodeon actually has MANY great shows right now! It’s Pony (animated), The Loud House (animated), Lego City Adventures (animated), The Casagrandes (animated), the All That revival (sketch show), Blue’s Clues & You! (animated), the Are You Afraid of the Dark? Reboot miniseries (horror), PAW Patrol (animated), The Astronauts (drama), The Adventures of Paddington (animated), even SpongeBob is really good right now! And Nickelodeon didn’t try to cancel Glitch Techs! They sent it to Netflix because they JUST started their new partnership with Netflix! Besides, look at what Cartoon Network has done with Infinity Train! Despite that show being one of their best shows in YEARS, they just sent it to HBO Max for no reason other than that they don’t give a shit about quality entertainment! But nobody has a problem with THAT because it’s Cartoon Network and that “tHeY aCtUaLlY hAvE gOoD sHoWs”! Hell, Cartoon Network and HBO Max are considering CANCELING Infinity Train because it’s considered “too mature for kids”! Yeah, because Infinity Train wasn’t ANYTHING like their precious Teen Titans Go, CN is thinking about canceling a show that actually made me have just a LITTLE bit of faith in them for the first time in a while! Nickelodeon also has TONS of great content worth looking forward to! Rugrats revival (animated), Meet the Voxels (animated), Star Trek: Prodigy (animated), Garfield (animated), Man of the House (animated), Counting Stars (musical), Middlemost Post (animated), The Smurfs (animated), Real Pigeons Fight Crime (animated), Phoebe and Her Unicorn (animated) and Big Nate (animated), to name a bunch! Yes, Cartoon Network has a few good shows too like Craig of the Creek and Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart, and they have a couple of upcoming shows worth looking forward to like Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, but many of their shows nowadays are garbage, ESPECIALLY Teen Titans Go!

    • @endymated5133
      @endymated5133 Před 3 lety

@@ZemeckisTEN for the content looking forward to, no arguments can be made of them turning out good or lame until they genuinely launch. Okay glitch techs werent cancelled then what about the reboot movies they did can, those were “saved” by the netflix deal. I’m not taking into account the material going straight to streaming. And a lot can be said about what they have right now but how much of it is a not a spin off or a reboot. And as another bullet to the head do the math and tell me if they have more mediocre sitcoms or new cartoons that aren’t constant reruns. Also blues clues and you is a grey area it has animation but it has its fair share of live action with it. And yes CN has good shows but they have their massive misses, ben 10 reboot, shafting Infinity train, cancelling ok ko, still not green lighting season 6 of the og titans, not picking up trickmoon. but the argument is more as a whole in terms of animation between 2013 up to current day it still shows nick has been more reliant on sitcoms that dont hold a candel to their previous ones instead of making more animated content with substance, they loud house was a hit, so was spongebob’s newer seasons but those have also been reliant on them. (Only looking at the main nick channel not the nick junior shows that has a fully different audience where you can put any ok infant show and it can be considered decent and a success but while not catering to tweens or teens). But side by side compared between 2013 (where nick was generally still considered of quality) up to 2021 its clear that nick has been on the decline, and that when it had a chance to redeem itself it made the worst decisions, cancelling harvey beaks and disrespecting greenblatt, canning the movies, jeopardizing glitch techs’s future, making limited amount of original cartoons wich either end up cancelled midway their first season and the sitcoms made being lazy, bad, forgetable and just bad in or out of context (henry danger being the main example of it). Nick can win a battle here and there like when korra was greenlit (of wich they also shafted), but ultimately cartoon network wins the war with its consistency to a point where if they make a mistake they can take the blow and the online communities wont hold it for too long against them whereas when nick makes a mistake they are constantly reminded of them because its constantly happening, look i myself grew up with both and i preferred nickelodeon with a bit of CN here and there, but its clear that un the current day and age looking at the (cartoon only) scoreboard cn has more quality content because they actually keep making new cartoon content and treat their creators better than what nick has been doing. None of the two are prefect channels but in the end cartoon network wins the war. I would like nick to be like how they were in the mid 2000’s but its clear they made their call, unless the nick ceo changes the direction of the channel or is replaced by another one that grew up with the golden nick age i dont think nickelodeon is reclaiming their former glory. They can make a cartoon hit now and then but cn is more consistent. Please dont take this as a personal attack, i am not the keeper of truth by any means but when evaluating anything the rose tinted glasses have to be taken of and objectivity comes into play. Ps: had nick only stuck to cartoons or 75% animation / 25 % live action (instead of 90% live action and 10% animation) (cn (not counting the infamous cn real era, has “only” put out new cartoons) post 2013 the story could have been different.

I'm going to go with Cartoon Network on this battle. Sure, Nick has Spongebob, Rugrats, The Loud House, and my personal favorite, My Life as a Teenage Robot, but you know what they almost had, but didn't know what to do with?
Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Adventure Time, and the Fresh TV animated programs. Let me explain...
You see, Nickelodeon wanted to make merchandise off of the Eds, which would violate Danny Antonucci's creative control over the project. When relocating his show to CN, they agreed to his creative control, and that's why the show is still their longest running non-franchise original show of all time. Likewise, but not really, the Adventure Time pilot actually aired as part of an episode of Random! Cartoons over on Nicktoons Network, but they chose to greenlight Fanboy and Chum Chum instead, prompting Finn and Jake to become the duo to save CN from their dreaded live-action phase. Finally, Fresh TV's first program, 6Teen, did actually air their first season on Nickelodeon, but was kicked off in 2006, the year after it first aired on the network. Two years later, they'd relocate to CN, and what do you know, 6Teen was able to air all of their episodes on the network. Sure, they didn't really air on CN until after Total Drama became a big hit, but it's the thought that counts.
So, in other words, Cartoon Network's biggest hits of all time came to the channel because Nickelodeon either got cold feet or, in the case of AT, preferred a Spongebob clone over something new and original. And that's why I have to give it to CN. Because Nick passed on their competition's greatest stars and paid the price for it big time.

The funny thing: Teen Titans fell victim to capricious scheduling, and the bat-embargo. They heard their fourth season would be their last, so they decided Trigon would be the big bad, just as he was in pre-Crisis New Teen Titans. But they got renewed for another season, so you get a hybrid of two storylines: Titans Hunt (Jericho is possessed and kidnaps the Titans for other ghosts and they're saved by Slade, who kills his son) and the Brotherhood of Evil arc (the Brotherhood of Evil, who killed the Doom Patrol, target the Titans, and Beast Boy slaughters them).
The bat-embargo part was them negotiating how long they could use Robin. Also why Batgirl is in the Batman at first, rather than Robin.

    Both had such great programming.
Nick probably peaked higher with Spongebob, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, and Avatar
While Cartoon Network had more consistent programming.
Little disappointed you didn’t play the CN rap from like the summer of like late 00s- early 10s

I feel Disney Channel always put their live-action in front of their animation until the 2010s where they properly invested in their animation. Where Disney Channel was more of a competitor to Cartoon Network in the 2010s

@@michaelandreipalon359 I say Azula is better because we get the whole picture of who and why she is. Versus Ozai while more intimidating from a full on power scale perspective was missing that back story. We never saw him and Iroh growing up or anything like that. Couple flashback scenes like that could’ve gave him some depth
