AN EPIC CLIMB IN THE HEAT UP TO THE TOP OF THE BUCKLE, I PITCHED OFF THE SUMMIT AS THATS A BIT TOO ROCKY, HAD A QUICK WANDER UP TO STOB DEARG TO REVISIT, I LAST CLIMBED IT ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO, CHECK OUT MY VIDEOS TO WATCH THAT.. THE COMING DOWN WAS THE HARDEST BIT, ONCE OVER THE INITIAL DROP ITS OK AND ALL STEPS HEADING DOWN. ONLY ABOUT 1.36 MILES TO WHERE I PITCHED, BUT VERY ENJOYABLE AND A NICE ESCAPE.. APOLOGIWS FOR THE LENGTH OF THIS BUT IT WAS HARD NOT TO FILM...
Me and the wife wild camped on the etive mor this Saturday night climbed the same route as you and stood on the dearg the midges were bad I saw this video and it inspired me thankyou top man Andy 👍👏👏

I felt like launching it but then it would be in the Glen. Stupid like. I really enjoyed it though was my best camp to date. Bold statement.

Probably the best if not THE best vid I’ve watched you put out, very real, desperate to do that, managed to get “home” 🏴 for the 1st time in almost a year last week but had to stick to the South & Borders for a wildcamp.. hoping to get up end of July, on the list of must do’s. Excellent work mate and glad you enjoyed it

Yeah I spoke to a few folks and they all said the same about the cone. It was extra special this one like. Nee thompo mithering me 😂. Seriously though it was so good. Didn’t want to leave like. Atb mate 👍
What a positively civilised video that was Andy. Those time lapses were outstanding. Shame about the traffic cone 😞. And what a view to wake up to. A very humbling video this one. Being in surroundings like that sure does make you appreciate being able to get out and wildcamp in what can only be described as, well I have no words that can do it justice. Just stunning. Ahhh, the land in my heart. Over Rannoch Moore off the train and up Stob Ban for me usually. Done 'the Book' plenty though. Found a red high heel on the backside of Ben Nevis once, canny funny like.

Epic camp Andy, your best one yet I 'd say with such fantastic views, the 4k really showing them off, although a tough climb up, you,ve got to do it, and you'll remeber it for rest of your life.

Yes Pat I’ll not forget this one that’s for sure. I’ve planned it for years. Finally did it. Heck of a Climb for an old crock like me 😂 I’m glad the 4K finally worked too. That would’ve ruined it. Looks like you loved that Andy. I felt really tired for a week after my second jab, so hats off for doing it. Never been up there, after a walking trip to fort William with 2 mates, we had planned to do it. We got to the same spot as you at the bottom and it looked superb, but they made lazy excuses and we didn't go. I was foaming all the way back to Whitley bay!
You need mates with determination. I was thinking of sacking it at the bottom. But glad I didn’t. Always worth the effort. Cheers for watching atb 👍

This was one bloody long video! Thought I’d fast forward through most of it, but I can honestly say I never did, wasn’t even tempted. However, I started watching it last night and at 22.10 Matron came into my room and said I had to go to sleep (Care Homes are like that). I’ve now finished watching the adventure the following afternoon. How I miss Scotland, such an amazing impressive place. Heading through Glen Coe (is that the right spelling?), never fails to astound me. Never been up the Herdsman but hats off to you for this beautiful wild camp. Enjoyed the hard slog up and then those views from the summit WOW! Still plenty of snow on the Ben. Couldn’t believe how many people were roaming about. In my day we never faffed about with water filters, just boiled the brown liquid for five mins and all would be well. They say you are never too old to learn a new trick, well I learnt a new trick. The loose tying of the boot laces is a brilliant idea around camp. Funny what music people listen to and find entertaining: Stone Roses, Bloody Guns & Roses, it’s all a loud mind blowing noise to me! Still each to their own. Like you, I’ve no interest how many subscribers I have and do these films to look back on as I do now in the Old Peoples Home. Wished I’d not deleted so many of my old mountain videos but what’s done is done. The sound quality on this film was outstanding, good to know you’ve got a decent mic. Would have liked a view down towards Skyfall or even a shot where 007 and M stood at the side of the road. Cheers Andy and this was without doubt a FIVE STAR FILM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can’t believe you’ve actually got two thumbs down from those Wankers! PS can I watch this film in 4K on my old black and white telly? NO REPLY REQUIRED ANDY, YOU HAVE FAR TOO MANY PEOPLE TO REPLY TO. SIT BACK AND CHILL OUT!

Yeah it’s a canny trek with the pack. Much easier without it. Pretty straightforward actually. Worth a day trip. One day I’ll be glad of that tent. I’m planning on enjoying the summer trips first though. Atb 👍

Great video Andy me and my mate was up there last August but camped at Kingshouse we went right across the ridge and back down half way back into the valley (epic) we then did bidean nam bain next day then back down into the lost valley which was equally as good as buckie on a serious note my mate took a tumble with the loose stone under foot and only had a light pack on so hope the viewers take note of what you was saying about being careful cheers for the video ATB .
Nightmare. Easy to fall up there lots of loose stone like do caution definitely needed. It’s not for the faint hearted like. Hopefully your mate was ok. Atb 👍

Really really good that was Andy. I'm sure it was the left side near the top where there was a flat slab of rock which I scrambled over and can remember it being on my mind the whole time I was up there thinking oh no I've got to go back over that.

No bother. It’s not a bad walk up. I made it look hard with that pack on. A daypack and you’ll fly up. There’s a cracking walk along to the third peak too. An all day epic to be done. Atb mate 👍

Anyway it was a slog. The heat due to it being a gully was immense. Was glad of a breeze but that dropped too. Yeah get yourself up mate. Drone footage would be mint if you get it sorted. how was that 45 minutes, felt like 10! can you make them longer please. Have to say though, the lakes are nice and everything but that was another level entirely makes the lakes look like hills.
There’s something about these mountains I think it’s cos they rise from the ground your on the level. So seem bigger. I love the lakes but Scotland is my favourite. Just too far to go regularly. It’s my longest video and it took ages to upload. I think it’s ok now though. Thanks for watching atb 👍
Takes me back to when i did it, i went up the same route and down the way you went up before.
I think the majority of folks did that. One lady said she was really scared to go back down the coire. So I showed her the other route. Hopefully she got down ok. 👍

just watched this a second time, if the weather on the tops looks clear in the next two weeks I will go up and do this one, mountain weather not good at minute fog mist etc hope I have not left it to late this year, isolating with covid during the nice weeks a while back !!!!!

@@AndyWardle arran is an amazing place, i put its mountains just behind skye's, they look great. Brodick great for food and supplies then 5 mins drive you are into great scenery. If you do camp on arran i recommend on the top of caisteal abhail 👍🏻
