This album is the proof that Freddie could sing EVERYTHING.He was amazing.A genuine artist.
p.s.: This is the only kind of opera I can listen to.And Freddie is to blame for. :P
I think "Barcelona" wasn´t wrote to the city, was wrote to Montserrat. After reading and listening the story of how much Freddie wanted to know and sing with his Super Diva, Montserrat, and how excited and nervous he was, I conclude this song describes Freddie´s dream about Montserrat. Singing with her was his dream made truth.
The part that says It was the first time that we met, is about when Freddie met her.
Of course it was about Montserrat. Which means how a good person Freddie was, he didn't need to do it about the admiration and affection he felt for Montserrat yet he still did it.

Freddie Mercury was an incredible artist, an enigma, in the true sense of the word.
Absolutely amazing.
The British music scene has never been the same since he left.

This is the best Queen related news since Made in Heaven. Barcelona is by far my favorite solo project from members of Queen. I place this album on the same level as the top five Queen studio albums. Bring it on!

It was ever so honouring for the Greatest Band For Now let The Queen perform. And I pet both Freddy and Dave were smiling watching over Brian and Roger. And here I Finland I cried. Freddy and Dave both of them gone so too soon. The Queen always in my heart.

Freddie Mercury is the best! But I don't think he was so dedicated to this album because of his AIDS condition. He was dedicated to all the things he did and he was very passionate in his work. He wanted to get the best from everything. I'm tired of everyone discussing his illness;it makes me sad. Instead of enjoying this gorgeous music I realise I start crying because he is gone because of this horrible disease! I hope they find a cure for all illness so that people would never get sick again!

But to be honest guys, if the new barcelona video on queen official has this orchestra playing music at the back.. then I'd say that it didn't have that feel.. freddie's voice was very loud and clear full of energy and believe me am i die hard fan of him, i saw that there is not that energy in the video which i had listen to on original audio, or in the previous version of that songs video...

Freddie's voice was never pop/soul or disco/dance music, that's why his solo projects didn't work imo. Instead he was rock and classic. And Barcelona was great!
