Kokkaffe Diaries - Episode 13 - Rise of the Grayling King.
Septeber 9. Down in the grayling hole.
This was the last fly fishing trip to the Arctic this year. We tried our luck in a few rivers close to Kiruna, Swedish Lapland, that apparently held big grayling (World Record from the 70's - 3,4 kilo cleaned grayling).
Things that appear in the video:
Lady of the stream (Grayling), Jakob Broman, Makus Lemke (Lemke’s guide service). Halibut (catch and cook) and Håvard Stubö. Vegard, Narvik, Carwrecks in Nature, Euro nymphing, Streaking caddis, a little brown trout. etc.
Music:
1. Jesper Ferrari
2. Happy Hunter - A Broken Stick
3. Happy Hunter - Lost In Trout
4. Jazz and Fly Fishing - Öxsjön
5. Happy Hunter - A Broken Stick
6. Torbjörn Ömalm - Jellivaara Swing
7. Jazz and Fly Fishing - Beneath the Waves
although i'm sure you make these films to quench an internal thirst, they still feel like a gift to us all! thankyou Rolf, for another beautiful sharing!
That’s great! Win-win.
Rarely if ever I feel connected with what I see on YT nor do I feel the need to leave a comment. Your films struck a nerve with me, and left me mesmerized, vanishing the hard borders of my tablet’s screen , instantly teleporting to your world. Art or magic. Can’t decide.
Thanks for that! 🙏
Nothing better than watching Rolf with a cup of ☕
Kokkaffe !❤
I also want to say that broman crushing it when it mattered was truly beautiful
Sveriges Werner Herzog. Otroligt foto, video och klippning. Hatten av!
Everything here is beautiful! Friends, scenery, and fish. Excellent filmography. Thank you very much Rolf! Best wishes to you all. 👍👍🎣👌
We used to call it motivational fishing. When the afternoon became long and the fish few and far between, a guide would pick up the rod and catch a fish, just to show it was possible, to keep trying.
Your videos are as close to fishing with my life-long best buddies as it gets - the guys I get to fish with only once a year in Montana. Thanks Rolf.
Always crazy to see how quick the autumn arrives in the arctic circle. Suprises me every time!
Many greetings from Serbia, you’ve inspired me to start fly fishing. It’s a completely different approach compared to how I always fished with spinners.
So wonderful. Sweden to me looks like paradise. I don’t know if it’s something noteworthy, but fishing seems to be sort of a temporary cure to adhd, especially when you can get out to a place like that and you just have to live a simple life with a clear goal: catch fish and be happy. Keep up the good work 💪
Thank you! You are very right about that, perhaps cure is the wrong word, but yeah.
Paradise doesn't have mosquitoes like Sweden...
@@RolfNylinder English is not my first language, and you’re right. ‘Relief’, perhaps? At least even many decades before I got diagnosed I knew that, when everything seemed to slip through my fingers, fishing would put me back in a place I could understand.
@@Jaimelapoesie We have plenty of those here, but everything is full of cars and people and noise too. I wouldn’t hesitate if someone ofered me a job there.
Rolf, you have a video for every moment! 🙏
I love these videos. They restore my soul.
i will download and cut this episode up to study it. the copious heaps of b-rolls, motion blurs, defocus, layered editing, subtle background music and sound fx feel so natural and unnoticeable, i pause a lot during your video to appreciate the work.
Tak for de total fede film, hvorfor er jeg født i flade Danmark og ikke smukke Nordsverige. Keep up the good work 👍👍
I’m always so impressed how Rolf’s dresser manages to keep his collar unkempt…..
Awesome trip. Love Grayling
I love your videos, they share so much more than just fishing
I can't decide which is more enjoyable, the commentary or the filming or the editing. I guess you just make it all come together naturally and that is what makes it beautiful.
🙏
Thank you Rolf for the upload, another great video. Wonderful Halibut there! All the best from Tokyo, still Summer here it won’t go away
🙏
Watching from Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. Only found you about 2-3 months ago but loving your videos and your commentary. Thank you much and have a LARGE DAY INDEED!
Glad you like it, I love to make them, thanks for watching!
Maybe this is a empty offer, because you live in sweden, and you already fish for superlative fish, but if you ever come to western canada id be happy to host you for fishing. There is a famous stonefly hatch near me in july. Love from the far west.
I’ll be there some day!
Grayling like pink but grayling Kg 3.4 = Lb7.5? That's x3 bigger than any I've caught. 10:52. I'm in awe.
Broman! Think outside the box, observe more and talk less, watch which in-season plants match the hatch and ALWAYS rib your friends. Always.
What a great episode again, loving it, great vibes and sense of humor.
Broman, great guide indeed 😂
Underbar dynamik! ❤
Colours of autumn🍂 🍂 great episode , greeting to all Your team 🤠
Many thanks!
Ännu en fantastisk film, du e som bra på de här. Sugen på kustharr runt Umeå så hör av dig, har ett riktigt bra ställe, har man tur så får man öring me :)
Ah, hur sent funkar det? Oktober?
Your films are absolutely superb mate! I'm addicted to watching them almost as much as fly fishing :)
Hey Rolf loved the vid, my wife and I want to do some traveling in Sweden in the spring/summer. Any recommendations on where we should stay?
This is from the area around Kiruna, it’s a great place.
@@RolfNylinder fantastic, thank you for the recommendation
Another incredible episode! Thank you!
🙏
Arctic Circle Goodness
Cozy film!
Once again, interesting people and places with a side of interesting thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful again. More like the old days.
Det är en riktig bra movie jag älska tack så mycket Rolf. Jag kommer tillbaka näst ar flugfiske i sverige är jävla fin.
Thank you as always. Great episode and when you want, come to Sheffield England to hot some of our urban trout fishing spots and DIY skate spots. Mi casa es tu casa!
Sounds great! Some day I might!
Always excellent! Thanks for sharing
Fantastiskt som vanligt!
night stout Rolf grayling masterpiece cheers;)
...og altid som snus i munnen. ;o) Hälsningar fran Tyskland.
Kveite i Norge? Fy fan! Live is good!
Specieism. Auto correct can't help me to spell that! In Ontario, there is no use in being a specieist. Why wouldn't you want to catch every kind of fish! A true angler will recognize this. Keep them coming, Rolf.
Atter en herlig film fra Rolf
Broman’s name is perfect for a dudefriend
I see what you did there.

Keep it up
Very beautiful picture. And a perfectly composed frame. I watch your videos like a feature film. Maybe you can give advice on setting up the camera to achieve the same colors on my Sony zv-e10?
I really don’t know. I just use som natural color profile on my gh6.
@@RolfNylinder yeah, it was a silly question. waiting for new videos.
Bucket list fish for me
Got one 2 weeks ago. First one in a couple of years.
100% honest skateboarding.
What is the reason for catching the greyling and not eating it?
Yada!1
Bravo!
I Hans Lidmanns forspor, glimrende saker på din kanal😊
