- NASA predicts our Milky Way will eventually collide and merge with the Andromeda Galaxy billions of years from now. This video demonstrates what our night sky would look like during the merge.
7 billion years should be long enough to think of a better name than Milkomeda
Joshua Tanner 😂
Androway?
Ya
Andromeda way XD
It's just a name merged
7,000,000,000 kids: “they’re just galaxies.”
2000 kids:
lol and better name… the andromedary way
Andromeda should be therefore named Coffee. And merged galaxies would be simply called Latte.
NİCE
How about cosmic latte?
I'm a bit latte but here's your like
milkomeda
What about covfefe
Can’t wait to see the merge.
@The Person who asked my age is -7 billion years...i will be able to see this then
@@ino.m7153 you ruined the joke
@@ino.m7153Another day, another person ruining the jokes!
We will need power enough to survive the collision..😊
@@jewsrbad it's super unlikely that anything collides tho, what will happen is that every star will get out of orbit during the merge because of the gravity changes.
I like how this isn't one of those unnecessary 6 minute long videos that have some random man talking continuously and instead shows the content we all came for immediately
No it should be much slower like 2 min video. So we can appreciate it more.
3.85 billion year humans will have such a nice flex for the night sky
But theyll DİE and other animals öatbe would see it so nice.
Wait but i forgot the end of ozone will be someday
@@TheOofedAnimator you know that Andromeda and the milky way don't actually collies they just form into one because the planets or stars will never collide
@@acutetriangle8923 humans will still die
They will either be somewhere else or dead. Earth will not longer be habitable in 4 billion year let alone 7 billion. They might get a chance to see it though
@@crovenhuecow the galaxy is way too big and we are way too small, we most likely wouldnt fling out because of the slow and beautiful process, plus earth wouldnt even be a thing anymore?
I won't be able to sleep with that much light at night.
There is usually a lot more light then that
The only time there isn’t, is when you can actually see the galaxy
Light pollution ruins our viewing of a much more subtle light in the night sky
this animation is way too fast. slow this down and let us take it in
Yeah i had to pause it
@@Mother_Mia Slow the video down
There is a really slowed down version in the sky...
Use video speed option you lol
@@priykantgandhi1821 Some parts are way too fast even when the video is slowed down 4x.

Milkdromeda sounds goofy and low I.Q.

i last heard the andway name on a "bright side" channel
I like andway lmao
Milkomeda sounds like something you take for an upset stomach…
Proof that the cameraman never dies
Earth has 1.5 billion years left. Having the capabilites to travel great distances in space is our only hope
Christ is our only hope, and i mean that literally. Intergalactic travel isn’t going to happen before the end. Atheist or not, climate change threatens humans existence unless we find a way around that (unlikely considering climate change has been happening since before humans) And even if we could the sun is going to engulf everything in its orbit shortly after. So have faith in God, that His word is true and he will bring about an end to this world, and take us into whatever realm He stays.
No. The distance between stars, planet systems and others object is huge. So when they collide, with a high chance we will be untouched
@@gefo7594 That doesn’t mean our planet will still permit life. We could be thrown into a complete different orbit
@@kentcc Actually Earth will either be swallowed by the sun when it become a red giant or the sun will already be a white dwarf and Earth will just be a frozen rock.
the universe is expanding rapidly and everything is getting farther away from each other. so i don't think we could even explore our ethire milky way galaxy.
very cool video
Beautiful for a time.
the last stage is so...boring. The night sky would suck after that. sure lots to observe star-wise but for astrophotography, the band of the milkyway is just to beautiful. The collision would be epic though, absolutely awesome
The Earth won't even be around at that point after being eaten by our sun, so I'd say that an ugly night sky should be the least of your concerns
@@heckingbamboozled8097I’d say intelligent life will figure out a way to push out earths orbit or save earth in some way since earth would be the origin of known intelligent life and therefore has a lot of value.
So I had a dream recently that huge meteors the size of small planets were falling through our atmosphere. I knew they were hitting the earth but somehow it wasn’t affecting us yet. My family members and I were led into this huge underground basement. When I got down there, two guys were standing in a far corner and they motioned for me to come over. They said, “Our galaxy is intersecting another galaxy. Thats why this is happening.”
I went back over to this small couch and got under the cushion(like that was gonna do any good🙄) . Anyway, the next day I looked up the possibility of this occurring, only to find out that this is freaking true?!! 😮. This was no ordinary random dream. This was a glimpse into whats coming soon.
Of course
7 billion years is soon???
@@blobanimatesx7466 I think its a lot sooner than they’ve predicted. If the dark matter outskirts of each galaxy have already begun to touch then it’s no wonder why we have been getting hit with asteroids all this time. They have no idea what’s coming or how soon. Look at all the ones that we’ve been hit with already that they didn’t warn us about and didn’t know were coming. Tunguska? Russia, all over the world really🤷🏼♂️ Just saying…
I think your ego is making you think you've uncovered something here, but considering this is an event that won't take place for billions of years, and will have little to no impact on earth (galaxies passing each other don't cause meteor rains), I'd have to say that you should stick with dreaming without translating it to real life. The human brain isn't the universe, and dreams are a well understood aspect of our brains.
@@heckingbamboozled8097 ego? Nobody can help what they dream, it just happens. And I don’t think I have discovered anything. But after I had the dream, I did some research on it and what asronomers have discovered is that there are dark matter outskirts with debris that have already begun to touch and collide. It just makes more sense why we are constantly pelted with meteors. I find it very hard to believe that they can keep track of every single one seeing as they’ve already missed several that have hit the Earth in recent years.
Extinction can be outlived by future humans, because we don't know how vast and great technology can be by that time.
Shame we will not be here to see it!
That is one advance tough long lasting camera you got there.
Cameraman never dies
I cant wait to see Milkomeda on our night sky❤
So disappointing that we won't be able to see this spectacular collision
I'll be back to have a look at this light show.
Good
Oh thats so cool, so pretty.
I will decide what the new name for the newly formed galaxy will be in 7 billion years
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.
How cool it would be to be able to look up at the night sky and see the Andromeda galaxy super close.
This proves that cameramen never die
But life wont let you see this amazing thing. Anyways can you do a lifetime of a triple star system? Or quad, or... Quadro whatever ima just say number
3-star system 4-star system up to 7-star system(yes 7-star systems exist) so please make one
Andromeda and Milky Way's secret lovechild:
Say hello to "Snickers!"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the thing is around the same time andromeda galaxy merges with milky way the sun will engulf earth, likely by that point we'll be on another body such as Titan.
This is really going to mess up my astrology chart!
Gee I sure hope I'm around for the next 4 billion years
actual size Andromeda in the night sky much bigger than moon if it were bright
As I can’t remember when I’ve been amazed my earth I remember learning in school so breath taking im In 🫢 over getting my special glasses 👓
All of us be like on earth: pretty
Milky way galaxy: it's not pretty!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!
Andromeda galaxy: i don't want to die it's too late. AHHhhh!!!!!
So We Will Stay Alive? And See That Beautiful At The Night Sky
I prefer Andromeda Way
i like that
@. I think humans will be dead then
Yeah, Andromeda surely is on the way.
It will be beautiful but will we live to see it
In 7 billion years, This galaxy name would be Milkomeda.
Would you be able to see it with the naked eye like this in dark spots ?
we don’t have a lot left, we won’t be around to see it unless we go somewhere else in space
I would love to see that at night sadly none of us will be able to witness it
Milky Way:
“Watch yo jet bro watch yo JE-“
This is what Harrison watched!
I can’t wait to post pictures on Facebook when it happens.
0:14 , 0:16 & 0:18 probably the best Stages! 😍
I have a question did milkdromeda will have a polar ring?
NO😡
How do you know our solar system would even survive?
see you guys in 7B years
I wish i could live till this happen :(
In Spanish "Lactómeda": Vía Láctea + Andrómeda. Thanks
Milky Way + Andromeda Galaxy = Milkomeda
I’d Really like to see that happen so I’m gonna start eating more healthy.
so were shipping galaxies now?
It isnt fiction LMAO
The sun: ITS MY TIME TO SHINE!
POV: Me trying to sleep
Milkomeda: Nope :) 👎 0:32
Ima be dead so yea won’t matter 😂 Only camera man we’ll live to see the day
Basically a movie screen lol
I don't think Earth will exist in 7 billion years
I agree
The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy that contains approximately 100-400 billion stars. The disk of the Milky Way Galaxy is approximately 100,000 light years in diameter, and is, on average, about 1,000 light years thick. Stars and gases at a wide range of distances from the Galactic center orbit at approximately 220 kilometers per second. The rotational period is about 240 million years at the position of the Sun. The Galaxy as a whole is moving at a velocity of approximately 600 kilometers per second with respect to extra-galactic frames of reference.

Everything is possible for cameraman 😬
ok I have a question so from today and till approximytely 4.36 billions years later 0:21 we will have beautiful colorful clouds and trails with stars but later eveything dissapear and becomes ugly yellow bright like just one star so bright at night, I understand many stars will get launched out in outer space but why everything else becomes so ugly bright, no cosmic clouds no colors
The collision disrupts a bunch of gas clouds and dust, causing many stars to form very quickly. This will be incredibly beautiful for about a billion years, but then all of the gas will be used up and all that will remain are old yellowish stars.
@@_thisnameistaken didn't think about that at all thx man
7 billion years is enough for our sun to explode sadly (according to google)
To be more precise itll be a super giant
W🌌W Per✨⭐️🌟💫
We wont be alive to see it sadly because the sun would swallow us.
