- About time I did a non-depressing nice soft ballad! This song is about Fluttershy before she met her friends that eventually made up the Mane 6. It starts out as a song about how she wishes she didn't feel so different from everybody else, and how she wishes she could find someone who understands her. As the song progresses however, she realizes that she isn't alone, even though she is unique and there's nothing ever wrong with that. This song is a song I know a lot of people can relate to, and I certainly can as well. So beyond the meanings that tie in to the show, this song is about the fact that no one is ever truly alone.

This song. Where do i begin?
When I was 12, I had some some feelings that made this song strike home. I remember sitting on my laptop listening to this, and having my head down thinking about how or why i wasn't able to come out to people as much as others had. these were just times i didn't know myself.
I'm 17 now, and im way past that phase, but im still very thankful for how powerful this song was to me back then. it definitely meant a lot. but every blue moon i come to listen to this, i get some flashbacks from back then. i don't take my emotions for granted when it comes from music. Thanks.

I'm not a Brony but aviators is awesome. So is mandopony and the living tombstone. Your type of music that you sing or listen to doesn't define exactly who you are. Just enjoy what you do.

I feel like this in particular is one of those songs that, if you didn't know the true inspiration behind the lyrics, you would never suspect is about My Little Pony because it's written in a way that allows anyone to appreciate it.

Being a music addict myself, it was the fan made music that brought me into the fandom. I came for the tunes and stayed for the show and community. The music people like Aviators put out is what keep me going and inspired to push through day by day. It's people that pump out music like this with emotion and relatable stories to tell that make me love this fandom more and more. You don't hear amazing craft like this in mainstream music anymore, and that saddens me. But I'm glad I have the bronies

See, I love this song and I had no idea it was made for My Little Pony for something like a month or two; only then did I read the description, cuz it just kinda seemed like a love song, but it's about Fluttershy!
That's another thing I love about it; it's written for one thing, but it can also fit just about anyone whose loneliness is turning around!
This song made me cry, but for a good reason. I spent almost 3 weeks with a group of people away from home, and for most of the trip I bore the same burden I'd born for so long like I always have: alone. At the end of the trip I opened up to a friend I'd had for two years, and we realized that we'd born the same burdens alone for a long time. Listening to this song is just so moving for me.
Manly tears were shed on this day, many manly tears. This is why you are my favorite artist, you are the only one that can reduce me to tears.

It doesn't exist physically and I will never write it down, because this list of songs is too personal for me. The list of songs that I listen to when no one is around, when I can truly be myself. When I can hear the deepest voices of my soul. Songs, that I sing in my head in the best and the worst days of my life. Aviators...you have made a song that I can totally relate to. Throughout most of my childhood in elementary school, I was bullied and teased because I was simply different. I thought I would never find "Someone Like Me" and it was my family and best friend who went to a different school that kept me going.
As I entered high school and now that I'm out of high school, I have truly found people like me and part of it is thanks to this amazing fandom.

Gosh the feels, this describes me perfectly. I've always been shy, and an introvert, and very different from "normal people" My teachers always gave me help on how to make friends, and while I greatly appreciated it, I still felt awkward around other people,sometimes like a third wheel, and often I just got upset at something they said, even if they weren't trying to be mean. I just didn't feel like I was making any progress, or that there was anyone who I could truly call my friend....
I used to be depressed no one would like me at school now. I know someone knows how I feel

Let me tell you my backstory: "2nd Grade" I wasn't passing class and I was being in trouble alot. So someone stole a 'Donut' and blamed it on me and for 3 years or more after that people were calling me "Gay, Stupid, Retarded, Lonely, Wiredo." And others. And in Year 4 I was being bullied by this girl named "Riley" spreading rumors about me and saying I Kissed, Touched Ect. Others.

This song really hits me, I heard it when I got my first friend after about a decade. It's painful yet beautiful. My heart aches whenever I hear it and memories come to mind. Even if we don't talk anymore, I love you. In my heart, we're still fooling around.

It's going to be written as if it takes place in the pony universe, but other than that it won't be a heavily "pony themed" song. It'll mostly be a song about a rebellious character who sees himself as a "demon" and a perfect, beautiful pony he can't stop thinking about, as he dubs her an "angel". It'll be heavily metaphoric, and it'll even contain a couple Supernatural references. xD

This here is beautiful. That piano tune fits Fluttershy quite well. The percussion, on the other hoof, helps make it feel more lively. As ever, the vocal work is on a sweet level, the lyrics are sung well and feel appropriate and progress well.

I listen to it and did the floodgates release something held in. Curse you and your amazing talent to make music have to ability to make me cry! Someone Like Me truly is a lost gem, one of the first songs I loved getting into the fandom and even after all these years holds up. Here's to you Fluttershy, and a huge thanks to Aviators.
Is it really that lost? It's been a favourite of mine pretty much since it came out. Okay, it's not as well known as "Friendship" or "Open Your Eyes", but it's a shame if it's been almost totally forgotten.
