I'm about to cry. Thank you so much for the clarification between arguments and parameters for us newbies.
You deserve millions of views on your content, Amit Bhai!!
Look who's back dev is back back again. Love you bro.
😆 Thanks bro! ❤️
I have been studying using Code Academy (not by choice lol it's part of my course that I paid for) and I must say your lessons are so much better. The way you explain things is so clear and concise and your examples are so easy to follow. You are definitely underrated and should have way more subs! I have been following the series from the first video and was going to wait until the last video in this series to say something but after struggling on CodeAcademy on functions and coming on here and understanding it so quickly I have to give you props! Thank you for taking the time to create this it really is appreciated. You are helping people better their lives!
Hi Kesrael, thank you! Your comment really means a lot to me 🙂👍
1,000% agree!
Subscribed within 2 minutes. After parameters instantly made sense, I had to lol. Thank you!
Hey Michael, sweet! Thank you, glad it was useful 👍

Amit is the absolute best in the business, I wish he had an online school. We need more content from you or at least a paid course 😊
This is great. Very well explained and I appreciate how you give the information needed, no more and no less. The rate at which you speak isn't too fast or too slow. I hate watching a long drawn out video that could have been wrapped in a quarter of the amount of time! You've done very well at this. Much appreciated. Look forward to watching more of your videos. Will subscribe!
Hey Kitt, thanks for this awesome comment. I really appreciate the support and sub! 🙂👍
Thank you so much, you're a great teacher man!
Man you've grown so much...still remember watching your CSS tutorial 2 months back
Man, you teach so basic. Thanks, i am going to keep watching you. Please continue.
This is the first time I'm seeing your tutorials, trust me, so long as youtube and the internet is concerned, and javascrpt as well, this is the best place for javascript. i have been searching for stuff like this on javascript. I think today is a really good day for me. your explanations are way out of this world. i love the bit by bit progression. Thanks a lot sir, you've got a new subscriber.

Your lessons are the business mate. Just started off with JS and I am taking an online course with one of the big online platforms, but they don't teach like you, and besides you spell 'colour' with a 'u'. :) Thanks so much for such great JS content.

Thank you so much what advice you give us to not forget and be good in Js ? and can we practice on project in this level or we must complet course than we start making small project
I watched your every video
Thank you!
What IDE are you using?
Anyone else not care that favorite was misspelled because the lesson is so good and valuable
Hey Frost, thanks for watching 🙂
“Favorite and favourite are both correct spellings, depending on whether you use American or British spelling standards. Favorite is preferred in American English, while favourite is preferred in British English.”
So this is why I write “favourite” as I’m British, lol. Really glad you found the lesson useful, thanks again for watching and supporting 🙂👍
@@DevDreamer Wow, didn't know that. love the channel and info... I've already recommended it to a few coding buddies. The way you explain is priceless
Thank you, really appreciate it 🙂

Assalamu alaikum.why you do't make more videos about full stack web development.If you make more videos about full stack web development , we are benefits
Can someone tell me what app he's coding in?
Hey! I sure can, it’s Visual Studio Code 👍
must be a lonely soul like me playing those games haha definitely childhood
Hey Ricky thanks for watching! Lol, unfortunately I don’t really get the time to play games anymore, but when I do it’s not usually these retro games, although they do have a special place in my heart lol 👍
so what is parameter?
Hi Minh, did you watch the lesson? 🙂
Not sure why, but this doesn't work for me:
Saved as scripts.js and used script tags in the index.html:
function favGame(game) {
console.log('My Favorite game is ${game}');
}
favGame("Sonic 2");
favGame("Skyrim");
favGame("Fallout 3");
Hey there thanks for watching 🙂
It looks like you’re not using template literal back ticks, since you use a template literal ( i.e. ${game} ) your console log needs to be surrounded by back ticks `My Favourite game…` as opposed to the single quotes you are using.
That should do it, if not how are you using the script tags in the index.html file? Can you show me please.
Thanks again for watching! 🙂👍
@@DevDreamer awe, true. Didn’t realize we have to use back ticks. Thank you.
Thank you Dev Dreamer, changing the apostrophe's to back ticks worked. Kudo's to you.
I'm literally typing the exact same thing but instead I'm getting parameters in the console log as the whole string, the arguments aren't being passed. the jquery is being passed as a string
function ninjaTurtle(name, weapon) {
console.log('${name} uses the ${weapon}');
};
ninjaTurtle("Leonardo", "Katanas");
output: '${name} uses the ${weapon}'
nvm...I was using quotation marks instead of apostrophes... God I hate syntax....
Hey man, thanks for watching 🙂
Okay, you’ve ALMOST got it - in your console log instead of using single quotes '…' you need to use backticks `…` otherwise it won’t pick up your template literals 👍
Lol Yh, it’s always the littlest of things! Sorry, I didn’t see this comment hence my other reply, glad it’s sorted anyway. Thanks for watching 🙂👍
these function courses are worth 5 courses 😄
where the hell were you bro?
Hey please see my post about this 👍
