1967 suburban 10 model 143.. I need some ignition help, a new switch, I’m coming up blank on the net, any part number you know? My switch looks totally different than this video

Try looking on ebay or amazon and see if any of these part numbers look the same . KEY IGNITION SWITCH SEARS 2210R 5797H 7486H 9541H . If it does not look like that , then search ebay for 12V Universal Engine Ignition Switch 2 Keys 4 Position On Off Start ACC US . I think you can get 3 position switch also that looks like the last one

Awesome..thank you I have a picture of the old one, it’s 4 prong ..but I now can cross reference some more, of course the key is frozen in off and I just want to check for spark, but I don’t know how to do it without a working switch, I did use jumpers to test the starter which works but that’s it, I couldn’t find a video in how to bypass the switch to always be “ on” so I’ll get a new one …and wait

@@kdoggcocker Just un hook the wire going to ign switch . To shut it off it just grounds the coil , so just take that path away .

@@wtbm123 ok great..long story short I want to resurrect this thing, my dad never liked it, pulled it out of the barn and parked it in the weeds 10 years ago, so I uncovered it and here we go, it’s clean beautiful orange paint still, mower deck..I’ll need you on speed dial ..points I can sand, wire I can follow, the black box “ regulator “ I know nothing about, gas tank is clean, so..spark and it should run, did when we parked it..I’ll have more questions and I appreciate it

@@kdoggcocker If the regulator does not work sometimes the little ground wire on side breaks or sometimes the points inside need cleaned . I have suburban 14`s and 15`s , but the regulator and wiring should be similar . I may be removing a engine here soon . if i do i will make a video on the basic for magneto ignition wiring . and go over what wires are needed for the regulator to work
