The British guy was way better. He took on four pirates all on his own. He had to fight peter with a much smaller sword whilst driving and firing the canons, he even put up a good fight.

This scene alone is why this episode is actually one of my favorites. I don't really care a whole lot about the rest of the episode.it was like we watch the full episode of pirates in just half of this episode and then a full episode of Chris and his relationship issue in the second half of this episode.
Not gonna lie this is giving inspiration to write a story about car pirates. And battle scenes will play out like this lol

Rayden Kreps British naval personel actually do salute with a flat hand. Allegedly it stems from the fact that deckhands didn't want to show a dirty palm to the monach when leaving port.

Also, privateers wouldn't fly a pirate flag. They were privately-owned ships that were given Letters of Marque from their governments to show that they were officially sanctioned to raid enemy shipping. If you're a privateer and you're captured, you were treated like a POW and exchanged at a later time. Pirates were simply hung.
