I just realized that Takumi from Nana might be based on him. He also got his stylist pregnant and married her. His father was an alcoholic and he was a rebel during highschool. That’s basically Takumi s story in the manga.
Except that Takumi is a total asshole and his personality sucks while at least from what I’ve seen from Sakurai’s interviews he seems to be a quiet and down to earth person. Plus, the only thing they have in common is the long black hair but they look nothing alike in my humble opinion.
Aside from the sad performance and losing his voice-----i thought it's really funny at the beginning when he's saying: "Aaaaaaangelic-----cooooooooooonfasatiooooooon!!"

Yeah even Ai Yazawa claimed in an interview a long time that Takumi is based on Atsushi. So yes your guess is correct!
