I worked at Chick-fil-a from 2002-2006 and one thing we did do, when it was really busy, was make sandwiches with no pickle, and put them in the warming chutes, just like the regular sandwiches, nuggets, and strips. So, this probably does work if it's not incredibly busy, but I worked at one of the top selling mall-based Chick-fil-a's in the country at the time, and we had lines out the dining room every Saturday and a lot of evenings and plenty of people don't like pickles, so it made sense for us to do this. Just thought I'd share some insight here. Chick-fil-a is so nice though, if you just ask for a fresh sandwich, they'll make it for you. Anything for the customer, it's their pleasure! :)

I've seen restaurants that also keep ones with no pickles under the heat lamp . This is likely to keep the line moving any time a rush hits. My college I knoe does this since sometimes during the lunch rush the line for CFA can go out the door and you can see labels for all the different foods on the heat lamp between the kitchen and packaging station.
I'm going to keep that in mind!! Great idea!

The Chick-fil-A's in Pittsburgh always put the pickles in a separate container never on the sandwich from what I remember.
It's been forever since I've had a delicious crispy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A. My opinion I like them better with pickles add on with their honey mustard or kethup. Whoever prefers another sauce.Their sandwiches are very delicious. Years ago before they changed the grill chicken sandwiches. They used to be the same way. Now they're on wheat buns with a package of honey bbq sauce. They're all the bomb and very delicious.😋💣💥

No you haven’t. They don’t cook you a special fillet if you order no pickle. They have a basket of cooked chicken breast sitting under a heat lamp, and the make no pickle sandwiches and the deluxe sandwiches from those. It’s not freshly cooked for you

I work at chick fil a, we don't just pre make a bunch of sandwiches, we usually serve them as fresh as possible
I’ve been ordering them with no pickles ever since I tried my first chicken sandwich from there and never knew they actually cook them fresh if you order them like that
They don’t do that. I used to work at chick-fil-a. After the cooked fillets come out of the fryer, they put them in a container under a heat lamp. Then they make the regular sandwiches from them. They always leave some fillets under the heat lamp so they can make no pickle and the deluxe sandwiches
When I was at Popeyes we made every sandwich to order and left our fillets under a heater I bet Chick-fil-A does it as well

I don't like pickles on any sandwich to begin with but my absolute favorite flavored pickels are garlic. Or zesty garlic. When I was a kid they were always in a wood barrel and were DA BOMB. Today they come in plastic and of course that changes the flavor of everything. Don't get me wrong. Pickles still taste good but not like getting them from a barrel.
I don’t like pickles with the exception of Mc Donalds pickles. They just hit different

From someone who use to work there this doesn’t always work, order it well done than they have to drop it back in the frier and it’s crunchy and fresh
yikes, double fried? double the oil.
Where I work we no longer sell well done food since there is no actual proper way of preparing it. :) so if you ask for well done, you might just be handed a regular sandwich. So make sure you check if they even make well done items.
What’s crazy about cfa is that yes sandwhich s are prepared “ahead of time” but those sandwiches are tossed out within 5 minutes if they have been sitting in the warmer. Also, they only prepare the amount of sandwhiches according the the data of how busy they are. For ex, there are many different routing systems such as breakfast, lunch, slow, busy. Each one will display a different amount of guestimated sandwiches. My point is they’re all fresh is they’re following SOPs.

You can just ask for extra cheese which is also a fresh sandwich and kicks up the flavor in a good way. Pickles included.
Works at white Castle too, ask for no onions, and they have to make you a fresh batch.

if you like a lot of pickles you can also just order it extra pickles. every time I do that it's always super hot and fresh

Some stores premake no pickles just like regular. Guaranteed fresh: no butter, extra butter, well done (not all stores do this), thin filet or thick filet. These are all free options. Best non free is add bacon. Makes it taste like a different sandwich.

I worked at chick fil a n they make different variations n hve them ready. The store was also always busy n right next to a gridlocked street in the middle of the city. I personally hve never had a soggy sandwich from them. They are always hot n crispy. Plus they always hve fresh filets coming out. Requesting a sandwich without pickles will not guarantee ur sandwich will be any fresher.

I’ve done this hack before unintentionally. I did it cuz I didn’t like having pickles in my burger because I used to not like the taste. I probably got out on a list of annoying customers.

I acually worked at Chick-fil-As back of house and we do NOT pre package our sandwiches! Every sandwich filet is freshly made and right out of the frying machine. And when it comes to the buns we have someone toust every bun ONE BY ONE!!! And on every tray has 9 buns and 6 of them have pickles and 3 of them don't. So it doesn't matter if it has pickles or not, ITS ALWAYS FRESH!!!

Your best bet is going when there is a rush witch is fairly often. Cfa only makes an x amount of Chicken fillets so fresh chicken is constantly being fried. Other than that the pickle juice can make the sandwich a bit soggy. So you can order your pickles on the side or any othe topping on the side.
no wonder I always got soggy luke warm sandwhiches. And never got the hype to why it's so popular. But, good thing most Americans don't care! They have very low standards when it comes to food. As long as it's salty, has MSG, they are good to go.

When I managed a Popeyes we made every sandwich fresh to order and I bet other places are like that as well. Their chicken is soggy because it's not good
