It’s a mystery why people want to give away their countries and their fantastic cultures and histories. Europe used to be the most awesome place when each country here was its own sovereignty, unique and fantastic. I had the pleasure of travelling through Europe when the Netherlands still had its own currency, a lot of people still wore clogs and it was safe to walk the streets there at midnight on your own. 😭

This has been a wider European problem. Like the Iraqi family whose daughter died in the boat across the English Channel recently. He was in Sweden Denmark for 6 years when he decided to have another child (2 boys plus) without success so the family of 5 paid smugglers to get to the UK fourth attempt. The Iraqi family should have been deported although he claims political asylum. EU can't have all of the world's migrants in Europe.
