  • Fighters need to make certain weight class limits, in order to compete at their desired weight class. This typically results in strict diet plans to go along with their rigorous training schedule. Take a look at a full day of meals and training, as UFC fighter Aljamain "Funkmaster" Sterling begins his weight loss process for his upcoming fight in Atlantic City, NJ.

    Really love the video I started doing mixed martial arts about 8 months ago and my starting weight was about 245 pounds I have now work my way down to 168 lb I've been talking with my coaches and I think that my first amateur fights should be at 155 when I do decide to compete in the future I've still got a ways to go before I'm ready to jump into the cage but I thought I would ask your opinion on this hope to hear from you and good luck in your next about against Brett Johns

    • @FunkMasterUFC
      @FunkMasterUFC  Před 6 lety +9

      That is OD inspiring to hear bro! I'm happy for you and your commitment to your health AND wanting positive change for yourself! Dope man, dope! I would continue training and get some honest feedback from your coaches and friends, and make sure you are ready. The thing I love about ammy fights, is that you can do as many as you want, under CONTROLLED rules. As in TD's with no GnP, which keeps the young fighters safe, and keep them learning while gaining experience.

Opponents are usually slightly taller (I respond well to these opponents since most of my sparring partners are taller) feel powerful no need to cut near as much weight if need be 🤘

      Yea no doubt bro. Goodluck in the fight and just keep in mind that your frame in much longer than mine. Ou bodies are different where I'm very muscle bound. You should easily be able to bulk up, get stronger and fight at 145 or 155, and still have a big size, reach advantage. Best of luck!
