K&N air filter and Akrapovic twin silencers
Full custom mapping by P3 Tuning Ltd
The newer Z1000 is more restricted and therefore only putting out 97hp stock allowing huge gains from de-restricting and tuning, upping power to 127hp at the tyre.
Overall power gains throughout the rev range and smoother power delivery making this much nicer to ride.

I presume that the ''97hp stock'' pull is clearly the bike in Low mode....
I owned the bike and stock they put around 118-123 depending on the dyno. The bike is indeed restricted from the factory with small in diameter headers. Put a full system, flash the ecu and it willll be close to 150hp at the wheel.

Unbelievably no! It is the only one we have seen that made this HP as you pointed out they usually make around 120's HP stock. This how ever was very restricted within the ECU

@@P3TuningLTD I have a full arrow 4-1 system on my 2017 and a highflow filter, i started with a PC V and a custom map, that netted 131 rwhp. This summer i had the ecu flashed locally with all restrictions, fuel cutoff etc removed, throttle percentages adjusted etc with imported fuelmaps from the PC V that were refined and the bike gained an additional 9 hp on top (to 140hp) but tons in the midrange. It feels like a completly different bike, so much stronger. Best mod ever tbh, superhappy with it

@@Sunedosa is it worth dropping the money on a ZX6R when I can get a mint 1000 for a few K cheaper? Do plan on modding

@@TheJMan1K It's definatly NOT a racebike, it's like 80lbs ish heavier than a modern sports 600. It all depends on what you want to do, the bike pulls hard but you're not really gonna do trackdays with it even if it's possible. If you ride track get a sports 600. The riding position is a bit too upright for me on this, always ridden sportsbikes before. it's very comfortable on longer trips though

@@Sunedosa will keep that in mind. I have no issue with the more aggressive seating position of a sport bike so maybe I’ll stick to CBR and ZX lineups.

Got my 2020 recently and noticed the roll-on and thottle response is very latent/fluffy feeling- will a remap/dyno help it out?

Simple answer is yes! once mapped they are super crisp and responsive and become so much easier and enjoyable to ride.

Is there a limit in this engine, I wonder if 262 can not exceed the engine, can only the limit be opened in any way?

@@stephenhendry447 Definitely! the only time we would say to not do it is if you are thinking of changing to a full system. We would then say change the system first to save having to remap the bike a second time which would cost you extra money!

Bigger capacity doesn't always mean bigger HP. The Z1000SX is more of a sports tourer rather than an outright sports bike. Same way you have Harleys with massive engines but only low HP!. Thanks for the interest in our video

Hi Tre. We are base in Liverpool UK. If you are not able to get to us you can post your ECU to us and we can upload a map we have built previously for the same bike with the same or similar set up.
