The first short featured in the 1983 Children's Video Library home video release of a batch of animated adaptations of famous fairy tales and magical stories. These were made by the legendary Japanese animation studio Toei and dubbed into English by Harmony Gold for US release on home video.
The opening short was Cinderella. This may be the most achingly romantic version of the tale I've ever seen on film. The ending is especially heart-rendering..
