It seems the fan just need a player to pile up on. Today it is Firminho. Last season it was Keta. Season before that it was Mane. For the mere fact that we have new and exciting players- Nunez, Diaz- does not mean that we have to start badmouting the players who got us where we are. Liverpool is great, not because of any individual player, but by the collective effort of the whole members of the team. The mamnager is great at creating the system and synergy betweenbthe team members to make 1+1=5. I trust and believe in him to keep taking the team to a greater height.

I have complete faith in Jurgen, I don’t understand all the negativity from certain quarters. How can we laud him one season and after just one game which we didn’t lose - how can you beat someone cheating to get a penalty ably helped by a referee whom I had a lot of respect for. Fulham parked buses all over the pitch and smothered our players - fair play to Fulham’s manager but as Jurgen said, we need to learn. Every team is allowed one bad game, better to get it out of the way at the start of the season than falter towards to the end. Our injured players will not be out forever, they will be back before long. 🤗🤗 YNWA

    • @JamesBermingham
      @JamesBermingham Před rokem +1

Ox chamberlain (always injured and average at best)
James Milner 36 (solid but prob last season)
Jordan Henderson 32 (injury prone and in decline)
Naby Keita (injury prone and inconsistent)
Thiago 31 (Brilliant but injury Prone)
Fabinho is 28 and probably our best midfielder for consistency and availability. So the midfield is in or about to go through a major transition.
We have to Hope Curtis Jones, 21, goes up a level and finds consistency.
Carvalho,19 and Elliot 19 have bags of potential and it seem they will have great opportunities this season if Liverpool don’t buy any more midfielders.
So that’s an unknown quantity but a bit of a gamble if competing for the title.
Liverpool need a top class midfielder this year, regardless of the recent injury to Thiago.

part of the problem with the Fulham game is:
    1. Liverpool never plays well for afternoon games
    2. The players couldn't get it up for a game against Fulham (a lower league side), it's criminal for a Klopp mentality monster squad, but it's a mental block thing
    3. New way of playing, players still not completely adjusted to it
    4. Loss of Thiago threw the team off rhythm, they found it hard to get back the momentum.
however, these are not excuses, as a Klopp Liverpool team, they should have performed much better, because they are capable of smashing teams.
I am sure the players were angry at themselves too, just look at how despondent Salah was after the game.

Klopp has got Diaz and Nunez at great ages and stages in their career the best is yet to come from them 2 with Bobby an Mo showing the ropes with their older more experienced time in football and if the bew lads listen and learn from them and Klopp and with the like of hendo an milly in their ear they could be moulded into world class super stars and lfc will be the reason why ,well klopp and LFC will and then get Jude in when they can and you will see the next generation liverpool starting 11 , we have a new lad behind the transfers so he will need time to take the responsibility on his own shoulders but he's been learning from micheal Edwards for years so he isn't fresh , klopp signing that contract extension and getting young players who will be around when he leaves will certainly help us out bigtime for the future ,its like he is building a rock solid squad looking further down the road than most managers do ,a lot of prem managers want the players as soon as they can get them and won't wait for the one they want very long mainly because they could be sacked and gone before the young talent breaks through ,where as klopp is putting new bigger foundations down at Anfield he loves the team so much ...we were lucky getting him in the door imagine if he went to the mancs we would be crying every season

Yes, given that he is one of the few who can hold onto the ball.
That said, I still find it weird that the number 4 and 6 have swapped places when people discuss squad number positions. Apparently it is a European thing.
      Famous #6 players :
      - Alan Hansen (Liverpool have since danced it around all sorts of positions, but no DM - 2 FBs, 1CB, 1 AM and currently a CM). Baros in a #5 was jarring at the time and clearly affected his goalscoring.
      - Tony Adams (and every Arsenal #6 since has also been a CB)
      - Ricardo Carvalho, Nathan Ake & now Thiago Silva at Chelsea (though there have been a couple of DMs and 1 FB as well)
      - Rio Ferdinand started as a 6 for Utd before moving to 5, in fact pretty much every Man Utd #6 was a CB prior Pogba.

We don´t need another midfielder yet. I think we should change the formation this season to 4 - 2 - 2 - 2.
Mo and Darwin are (hopefully) going to form an electric partnership. Think Dalgleigh & Rush. Different qualities but same unplayable result.
Two defensive defenders are needed to allow for marauding wing backs to get upfield. This is Liverpool strength and weakness. The defensive cover will give us better cover against counter attacking low blocking teams like Fulham.
Two hard working creative attacking midfielders to torment the opposition between the lines.

@@thefenian32 and there's always some snarky ass who thinks it's better "not to annoy the fans" by being honest and actually damaging the chance of bringing in the right player, than to be coy and clever and actually get your man. I don't know why fans expect a manager not to put the interest of the football club first. As soon as he opens his mouth, prices go up. If he says "I'm happy so I'll only go for the right player," we can work a bargain. Uncertainty is part of the game, and he's doing exactly what he's supposed to do. Any fan crying foul "oh he's saying we're good but clearly we're not" doesn't have the interest of the football club at mind, and only cares about their own personal comfort being told the things they want to hear.
Seriously, which would you rather have? A press conference that doesn't annoy you a little, or a new signing by deadline day that's a great fit for the squad at a price which makes sense? Pick one of the two and support our football club. In the meantime, stop whining about him saying exactly what he's supposed to say.

Klopp think he can rely on teenagers against big teams. LFC midfield is now extremely weak with only Fabinho. In addition to Darwin Nunez, Klopp should have recruited 2 strong midfielders like Sangare and Sergej Milinković-Savić. With all these injuries piling up, Liverpool will pay a heavy price at the end of season 2022/23 same as in 2020/21. Season 2022/23 will be one of the most difficult for LFC.
