#06 | OUTBACK NEW SOUTH WALES - To Cameron Corner & Back

- wewillroam.com | From the banks of the Murray River to the far northwestern reaches of New South Wales, we head to Sydney the very, very long way round. Starting in Echuca, we followed the Murray up to Mildura before crossing into New South Wales and heading north to Broken Hill. Mungo National Park, Kinchega National Park and Mutawintji were all on the agenda before reaching Cameron Corner. Standing at the point where three states meet, we had under two weeks to reach Sydney. Pointing East we wound our way through White Cliffs, picked up the Darling River Run to Bourke and found ourselves in awe of the weird and wonderful world of Lightning Ridge. Three weeks and 3,000km later, the Troopy had officially had her first taste of Outback Australia.

There's a phrase of yours from "Little Victories" that I keep coming back to: "mourning the experiences we were supposed to be having". I've just had to cancel most portions of an extended trip I'd been planning for seven months, due to recent delta surges in COVID here in the USA. I'm feeling that right now. As a salve, I'm treating myself to a Sunday afternoon spent drinking good whisky and rewatching this whole series of videos.
More than a few fingers of Balvenie and six videos in, I'm finally starting to feel better... Cheers!

Sure is a very interesting area, with some amazing roads, insane projects and more than its fair share of corrugations. And some rivers and phone reception is areas i never expected

Once again that was so perfect fella!! You captured the feel of this part of Aus and that music:) We live in southern Aus and each time I travel up north the first night is in a free camp 30kms north of Broken Hill its elevated and the sun rise the next morning :D.....It resets me. Enjoying the travel. We have a similar troopie and have done the same locations. Australia is so wonderful. Have subscribed. Just an aside - voices too soft or music too loud. I have to go back and raise the volume to hear what you said. ( or is it just me?) Keep the vids coming.
