Thank God I am getting off the coast in the Fraser Valley after being 43 years lucky here , now 53yrs young. Heading back too Friendly Manitoba , this September. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. Too much extreme weather events happening everywhere.

I live in north central Oregon. I've been in strong quakes or shakers as I call them in,Alaska, and I've watched things rattle here south of Biggs Jct OR.

I was watching "earthmaster", he had stated that there was no subduction zone in parts of the fault against the coastline of Canada, Washington, Oregon and California because parts of it were 30+ miles or more deep and is stressing at these points because the plates cannot move. They are locked .

there are some deep holes in the world which are miles deep and they never found or ran into a ‘tectonic plate” very strange.

As for the line about "magma being on the move" - I didnt realize there were any volcanoes over there. I am not very familiar with that area around Vancouver.. I guess I need to go check it out on a map a bit + explore...

The big onfe for Cascadia is long over due. Wasn't that one a subduction as well, Mary., and about a 9 mag? 100's of years ago?
January 1700, i believe it was a M9.1 i believe the Native Americans recorded it, don't know where? Something to research.
Yes it was a subduction mega thrust quake, that produced a Tsunami.
When the Cascadia goes, Mt St Helen's, Mt. Rainier, Mt Hood, Denali, and or Whistler Mountain are likely to erupt.

One of my biggest fears is that there would be a massive earthquake on a big holiday weekend like the 4th of July with all the beaches packed with tourist for the occasion ,so seeing this is a bit concerning ,especially when nobody is mentioning it on the mainstream media nor local news at least from what I've seen .Don't want to scare all the tourist I guess ?
A major quake only six miles down is pretty worrisome since that's usually considered a shallow quake capable of producing a tsunami .That map of the quakes in Western Oregon looks like the map of an outline of a big magma pocket .I know that there's quite a few hotsprings down that way not to mention it's not far from Crater lake which contrary to popular belief is not an extinct volcano .An ROV was sent down to the bottom several years ago and they found active steam vents on the floor of the caldera ,so definitely not totally inactive .

6.2 is a USGS standard depth they use. They have no idea of the exact depth.
