Excellent video. I would say to the UK and other international shooters out there don't be afraid of the size of these American events. One thing I noticed when I first started watching TGS was the amount of high clays that are coming towards you, and after watching some pheasant hunts in the UK it makes sense, as it replicates your hunts. In North America, we don't hunt pheasant like that, it's generally just one guy or a few guys and a dog, so the clays flying low and away is a common flight, and one I've experienced lots while hunting.

Welcome to the southeast. No room for warm non sweet tea in the south. And slow ammo. Now our brews are a tad weaker but we fix that with bourbon. Plus our sun kissed southern belles that are just as sweet as the peaches that are grown there. Welcome back to the states.

Hearing the talk about recoil made me that much more proud of my 14 year old daughter.
She takes the recoil of her Yildiz HPS 12ga like a champ. Federal 1 1/8oz #8.
If a 5'8" young lady can handle cheap American shells, you shouldn't have much to complain about Johnny. 😛

And unlike in Europe where one would feel certain type of "snobility", people in the US are friendly and regular.

Great video Jonny, looks like you had a great time. But a shoot like that, is definitely not easy

American hospitality is always top notch. When they put on a big event they know how to have everyone have a great time.
Brits just aren't used to the heat. The heat really does need some acclimatising, and without some it will mess up your shooting.
Different ammunition, just different targets, and different way of doing things, makes first time a challenge beyond anything experienced before. Why it takes a few years to sort oneself out and start competing proper.
But it's a heck of an experience and a lot of fun anyhow. Fellow shooters just loving shooting, whatever the level. Whats not to love.
Loved the vid, bar the bloke making all the excuses! Looked and sounded a lot like me my first time over the pond shooting. An education. (I did that 25 years ago, though it wasn't shotguns).

Maybe it because I grew up on a Scottish estate shooting my trusty 22 Brno with the Parker hale sound moderator and my in hindsight ridiculous franchi spas12, watching your classy videos with beautiful firearms makes me smile. I guess it’s nostalgia. Certainly was a simpler time. Anyway, keep on keeping on, we love what you do and you’re doing what you love❤️

Couple July 4ths ago, I was at the outdoor range. Saw a couple folks walk by & said ‘Happy 4th.’ They looked at me like I had 3 heads but eventually said ‘thank you?’ and I detected a British accent. I then said ‘oh well, awkward’ & we laughed.

It’s crazy, i was actually a member at this range during this time, but the event iirc wasn’t open to normal members so we all had to wait a bit before we could use the range again.
