A total of 38 different substances, widely used in many fields, are produced here from coal tar and crude benzol. Eighty percent of our products are used in the automotive and construction industries. Other products are often an indispensable part in making articles of everyday use. Be it dye, tyres, hoses or aluminium products.
Did you know that DEZA is the second largest company in Europe with this production program? The annual volume of processed raw materials makes us a globally significant supplier. Our products are shipped to South and North America, Asia and Africa directly from our plant in Valašské Meziříčí.
We became a part of the history of the Moravian Wallachia in the middle of the last century and working for us makes sense. Graduates of chemical, as well as other technical disciplines such as mechanical or electrical engineering, can find employment with us.
Deza’s core business is TAR. Crude tar is distilled into individual oil fractions using distillation columns, which are then sent for further processing to the HEAVY AROMATIC HYDROCARBON AND NAPHTHALENE and PHENOL facilities.
The distillation of the tar also produces a distillation residue in the form of coal-tar pitch, which is a valuable raw material for our business as it has an irreplaceable role in the production of aluminium and steel for the time being.
Crude benzol can then be used to obtain its individual pure constituents. The main products of its distillation are the aromatic hydrocarbons benzene, toluene and xylene.
Our top priorities are environmental protection, creating safe and healthy working conditions and their continuous improvement, which is why we have established and have long advocated environmental, quality and OHS management systems.
But none of this would be possible without power and water. Utility Supply Unit provides supplies not only to the entire company premises, we also distribute heat to customers and parts of Valašské Meziříčí.
Our biological wastewater treatment plant ranks among the most modern plants of this type in the country. Every year, we invest in greening our production, thereby steadily reducing the company’s environmental impact.
We have a transhipment terminal in Poland´s Świnoujście, which is used for loading, heating and storage of liquid pitch for shipping.
Safety is ensured by our own fire brigade, which is vigilant 24/7.
Valašské Meziříčí is our common home. Therefore, we regularly cooperate with secondary schools and support organisations and interest groups for children and young people, care and health services and culture in the region.
