I've been around since 62, two years ago I saw my first COE, where have they been hiding? I used to play in a truck junkyard, trucks of every shape and size. Not one COE! Now I'm obsessed, there's a camper version, that's out of this world. Glad they're being restored.
That truck is so "honest" looking!
No pretentions, no games. Just hard working and honest! Somehow the shape of the metal, every curve conveys this heartfelt work ethic.
I've never seen a better truck build in all my life and mean that sincerely. Wow! Just WOW! Incredible attention to detail on this and I'm sure it sold for a hefty price. Well done!
I love that it's not a crew cab. All true pickup trucks are two door regular cab. This is the handsomest I've ever seen bar none. Every detail is just perfectly complementary of the rest. Exactly the correct blend of wow and understatement. A masterpiece.
I’ve seen a similar conversion at a local car show. It was built on a ram duelly.I absolutely love that body style.
The truck in this video is breathtaking. I would have to daily it if I owned it. No chance I would be away from it for any amount of time. Funny part is, I’m not even a “truck guy”. There is something about that body style that just checks all the boxes. That one is perfect…well it would be perfect for me. Done so well it looks like a high end OEM factory build for a concept retro truck … so nice.
I've done my share of customs over the past 40 years. I have to say, this old iron is rightly done! Super nice job! I'm kind of partial to 54 chevies any way since a 54 2 door was my first car. This truck is a driver. Some thing you wouldn't be afraid to take cross country. Great video. It's going in my favorites list.

My birth year truck. I saw plenty of them working when I was a kid. I thought they were kind of ugly then. However, this restoration shows the true beauty of this COE.

great job !!!, it's BEAUTIFUL, I love how you did the bed and running boards, I have seen so many of the COE's where they cobble the beds to the truck. Most people have NO idea how much work & thought goes into such a build, I do, mine was 3 yrs., just me & a friend, I did mine as a work & play truck. This is so awesome the bed and side steps are masterful. I would have done the tail lights different though . The way they are mounted makes them look like an after thought . They are a great choice but it would have looked better if the fender contour matched the back side of the tail light instead of it being mounted in a stand off fashion. The colors are great. It is beautiful.

This build was phenomenal. They took an ugly duckling, and made it into a swan, because this is a difficult year truck, it's known for it's ugly "face". What's great about this channel (I'm an early subscriber) is that in the description box, they give the details *and* they list the Builder...
Love that smile, it was the same grill as 53 Chevy cars just bigger. I have 3 (1) half ton, (1) panel w/73 4*4 and (1) 3/4 T. 1/2 T was given to me in 76 when I was 16 by my uncle. Collecting since.

Great build. Some great craftsmanship involved there. Makes me want to be part of it. I love making surfaces smooth, no matter how much filing/sanding. But the makes me think of guinea pigs being spiked with kebab skewers. Sometimes silence is golden. Well done on a great build otherwise.

love everthing about this build ,if I had the talent ,money and time left to creat this masterpiece ,I would have built this truck! But you already have ,so how about you build one more ,with a strech MAXIE cab and this time make it purple and grey twotone,with a 1999 7-3 powerstroke ,with twin turbos and that Allison tranny in a GMC COE ,with carbon fibre anf leather with mahogany wood interion and faue mahagany and stainless bed floor.And don't forget black anodizised bumpers and grill and trim pices all around inside and out and lavender back lighted instruments!rims in purple and black anodize too!❤❤❤❤ Bob

This has to be thee baddest truck i have ever seen . Definately makes you want one.
Beautiful build with great lines on the running boards, really first class. The one exception are the 1954 car tail lights, they look out of place. I think the builder thought the same thing because they didn't show very much of them.
