I have been in the second tunnel to the east. It can be spotted at 3:48. I belief there are three tunnels. A centre service tunnel, and two separate road tunnels. The eastern tunnel is just as wide as the tunnel in use. The second tunnel will be finished when there is money available. News this week is that our road agency found 3000 ghost employees on their payroll. With this saving maybe there will be some money left for our roads.
The road weigh bridge is often bypassed by trucks going through Ceres, on roads not rated for this heavy use. The truckers bypass the scales mostly for the hours being waisted at these weigh bridges. Authorities regularly stops 30 truck at a time, forcing them to patiently wait in line.

Film production companies use it as a film set a few times, cold as hell at night.

Fun fact, it is impossible for big trucks to speed in the tunnel, believe me I tried.

Truckers dubbed this bridge "piesang brug", because it's curved like a banana...
