In all seriousness, I’d really like to see this type of thing, with _actual_ songs, that bands don’t cover.
Here are some examples, of songs I covered last year, when gigging in a band.
•Sabbath-Electric Funeral
•All Day, All Night/Natural Mystic-Bob Marley
•Maggot Brain-Funkadelic
•Everyday
•#42 or •the other one that’s a number title from 20 years ago-Dave Matthews Band
•Hey Baby(New Rising Sun)-James Marshall Hendrix
•Echoes-Pink Floyd(this one I tricked the band into, by making an instrumental arrangement, that was just the funky jam section, through that crescendo
This was in a band that was calling itself Southern Reggae, while they weren’t really doing reggae arrangements of the covers, unless they were actual reggae songs. 😄
I did reggae arrangements for Mary Jane’s Last Dance(easy), The Joker(not as easy for the singer/rhythm guitarist and the bassist), and yes, I even snuck Little Wing passed the frontman/band leader, doing a reggae arrangement, which lead to us doing an instrumental Hey Joe, reggae arrangement. He is 30, and has never heard Hendrix’s Little Wing, or ever played a Hendrix song, until meeting me.
It was a sad thing, learning how many classic songs, these younger fellas had never heard, or just never played, even though they’d all three been in cover bands for years.
I had to stop playing with them, because the songs I’ve not mentioned were songs most cover bands still play. 😩

Your two female singers prove my theory: excellent guitarists are ten a penny great vocalists, like them, are as rare as hen's teeth!
I honestly love the quality in which some parts of the live set was filmed in. Really nostalgic mid-00s vibe to it, especially for the songs you choose as your cover choices.

@schectertheboy from what I saw on his Instagram, he was walking home one night and a car passed by and threw a beer bottle at his head. He said he doesn't know if it was on purpose or not but that's the short of it.

So good to actually hear it done. Everyone shouts it out because it really is what you want to hear closing out a show. What a tune. And so well performed.
Also a Skynyrd die hard here too. As soon as he said it was one they played, I said to myself, "Tyler, you better not wheedle and deedle all over this solo." :D Was glad to see they kept it pretty faithful! Not too bad!
Eva's voice was solid!! She did zombie complete cover justice and still brought something of her own to it ❤

War Pigs is a 10/10 crowd pleaser that's long and not hard to play. Used to be our go-to time filler back in the day (when I played in a band).
ive covered everything and Rage Against the Machine is the biggest crowd pleaser. Wesley Willis always gets a good reaction too
The bands that never work are Alice In Chains, Spinal Tap and Nirvana

I played a bunch of silly songs and movie song covers in my old cover band the crowds LOVED them: Scotty Doesn't Know, the Soul Glow song, Summertime Girls (LFO), The Touch (Stan Bush/Dirk Diggler), Inside of You (Infant Sorrow), the theme from MASK, and a bunch of others.
Did not know that Stan bush wrote, the touch. However, I have dreamed of covering Stan Bush's other stuff, like those badass songs that he wrote on the soundtrack to bloodsport!
This seriously feels like I'm watching a bootleg from the early 90s. And I'm loving every second of it.

The last band I was in covered "Little Wing". My favorite Hendrix song of all time. Your three guitar lead on that song was phenomenal. Your band all together was amazing. Extremely tight. If you don't get out there and do this on a full time basis or at least more often it would be a crime. You need to promote your new album my man. Don't think about it just do it. Too much talent to waste.

Since day 1, War Pigs has always been on my set, and every time my band plays it the crowd loves it. Our original stuff was well received, but War Pigs always killed the most.

I just wanted to let you know that this video touched me. I stopped playing in bands around 10 years ago and have been playing guitar less and less ever since. Your videos are one of the things that keeps that part of me alive. This video in particular made remember what it's like to be out in a club or bar and seeing a live band. It was one of my favorite things. Life has a way of changing things and now all my time goes to my wife and daughter. I just wanted to say thanks again for making feel like I'm in a grungy bar. Great job on all the covers and you're awesome. \m/

My band ends the night with Bulls on Parade. Every time we play it you can see a few people's gears turning while they are thinking, "what are they going to do for the solo?" Then I do the DJ scratching thing and it makes them freak out just about every time. One of my favorite songs on our set that we play.
Ive played Rage like 4 times and people went apeshit every time. Just like 10 levels above what crowds normally do

Free Bird solo is a total euphoric experience, not one person in that room was thinking “man I wish they’d wrap this up” it’s a song that swoops you up and holds you for 9 minutes
This is not a personal attack against you, diesel. But after 58.5 years on this earth, I am sick and tired of hearing Free Bird for the 100 millionth time. I don't blame Tyler for playing it. It's an easy jam and a time filler. But, personally, there are a handful of bands that I don't need to hear from any more. Skynyrd and RHCP are just a couple of those bands. I've gone from loving it, to absolutely hating it. What song is it you want to hear?.... Anything but Freebird!!! JFC!!! (Side note: If I could see Gary Rossington, Allen Collins and Steve Gaines perform this tune live. I might be on board with that shit.) P.S.- I love Rick Medlock, but no. Just no.

My first concert was Stevie Ray Vaughan during his tour for his first album, and he did Little Wing. Beautiful. And also not something you generally hear.
I would pay good money to get to hear Stevie do Little Wing live in person. What an experience. His version gives me goosebumps

Blackberry Smoke have been known to play "Little Wing" quite often. Charlie Starr is an amazing country /southern rock, blues inspired artist. Anyone that hasn't heard of them, or their music, is doing themselves a great disservice! Good luck with the album Tyler!!!
