- With a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago, Dr. Nadeem ul Haque is currently the Vice Chancellor of the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, Islamabad. He also served as the Deputy Chairman, the Planning Commission of Pakistan from 2010-2013. He has wide-ranging operational experience in policy development and economic planning. Apart from his work in Pakistan, Nadeem ul Haque worked for the International Monetary Fund for 24 years. During his long and illustrious affiliation with the IMF, he implemented public structure reform in Sri Lanka and worked in two central banks to organize a modernization effort, which included improvements in the monetary framework and the policy formulation process. Dynamic yet easily approachable, Dr. Nadeem-ul-Haque is also a published author with five books and over fifty articles in various publications to his credit. He has a great vision for the economic sector of Pakistan and wishes to extensively work towards sharpening domestic debate and raising awareness on the local front.

Exceptional content and good way to conduct an informed interview. The only downside was on Dr Nadeem ul Haq’s derogatory remarks whenever the word “hindu” came, one can see & feel his inner hatred come alive through his words. Except that, this was a close to perfect conversation.
It’s become a second nature for our people to exhibit this derogatory remarks against hindus otherwise they feel like having indigestion .. so it’s good that atleast venting out this hatred make them feel superior or satisfied.

The only thing that shocking and was so unbecoming, even for a foreign educated mature person like Nadeem ul Haq was his utter hatred and degrading attitude towards anything related to word hindu. This shows that even our brilliant brains are infected by this racism and hatred of hindu that has brought our society and country to this stage.

Alhamdulila I agree with you Dr. Rahman. What can you expect from others when even the best brains educated in western institutions depict this “inbuilt hatred” which they have been taught from the beginnings.
