    Thanks for the video, I had a blown head gasket on my polaris 700, sure enough the head was warped, so I took to 81/2 by 11 sheets taped together on a piece of glass and followed your lead, started with 150, then 220 then 320 and 1/2 hour later it was done.

    One thing I'd recommend is that you rotate the head 90 degrees every few strokes. That allows you to see the imperfections better, and also helps you to apply even pressure.

    I put a new head/ gasket on my 96 xplorer, I’m still getting anti freeze in the cylinder. I didn’t see any coolant form in the cylinder while the head was off for a week. Im guessing the cylinder is junk? Any ideas?

      Is the head flat or is it warped? Take the head off, remove gasket, set head on cylinder and see if there is any movement. Its either the head or cylinder that is warped. Also did you put the head gasket on the right way? Its stamped in the gasket which way is up.

      It’s the cylinder, that’s for the advice

      No. Unless you take a lot of material off. With 320 you wont .

    I may have to try this. Did you put the hondabond and also the gasket on? Did you put hondabond on the block as well or just the head?

    • @TitaniummanGarage
      @TitaniummanGarage  Před 2 lety

      @@TitaniummanGarage None on the head? Just on the block(Jug)?

      Finish off the head with 600 grit. Dont put a sealer on the head. Just use the gasket. When I made that video I did use a sealer. But it's not the right way to go.
