Well, I had no idea but apparently it actually was the most successful Warners-DC movie ever, at least at the time. Not really the same thing as "The most successful movie of all time, ever" but eh, not really perjury either.
I would say movies like "Titanic" were far more successful.
It’s really awesome to have a doctor who seems truly uncomfortable disclosing JD’s private info. He’s a good man because unlike some in this society, this doctor doesn’t think he’s above the law and knows he can’t just not testify. He was required testify so he’s doing it. But he took no joy in doing that. He’s not someone who’ll be writing a book about his famous client. I like this doctor. And I have such newfound respect for JD. This has to be really difficult to sit thru. 😔
He would need permission from JD to publish a book. Just like he had permission to testify
He was subpoenaed by the court. Failure to appear before the court, testify, or produce documentation is a contempt of court which is punishable by jail or a fine or both! He does not need permission from JD.
Aquaman was so successful because of Jason Mamoa!!! Aquamans success had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with AH! There are so many people that never heard of her before.

Also Jason Mamoa wasn't in blockbuster movies after aquaman he was in a show that's not that known and some movies also not that known. If Mamoa couldn't get Rock level stardom after that movie what makes them think Amber would.

I hope all the people who were upset about Johnny's old psychologist giving testimony know that it was Johnny's choice and he gave permission. The alternative was for Amber's team to choose a forensic psychologist to test him. I wish all the people who went online and gave Johnny's old Dr a bad review over this will erase them.
I can only imagine what that forensic psychologist would have said… “he actually tried to murder me during our session.”
It just goes to show how much this has torn his life down, that he is willing to forego privacy, just to speak his truth.
This whole thing sounds like a nightmare for anyone.

Good point. I thought it came up in this case that she self-harms. Combined with the audio evidence and witness testimony, AH comes across as extremely unstable and has her own version of reality, ie escalating to hysterics and protesting that JD is killing her when he wants two hours with daughter, and that he is a bully for saying no to staying with her when he wants to visit with his daughter. What’s to say she didn’t pull her own hair and hit her own face..?

I find it incredibly sad that johnny was going to therapy to try to help him learn how to overcome his struggles in order to fix his relationship but amber was simply going to a psychiatrist to have documentation for her false allegations in the inevitable divorce. She's a cold, calculating human being. Her eyes have nothing behind them, there's that soulless look to them common in sociopaths.
I feel the exact same way about her eyes. And yes, I think she went to therapy to vent and have it documented not to take the necessary steps to became a better person

Also Amber’s team: Amber’s talent agent can speculate without any proof that Amber lost roles due to her speaking out and due to her negative press. This is clearly evidence and definitely not hearsay.

What I do see in this testimony is a man who was trying to work on himself. Just shows that he was trying to help his marriage, unlike his 'wife'.

When he stopped using he needed support, not some selfish a**hole who continued to use everything in front of him. I felt the Dr generated more empathy for Depp’ s vulnerabilities. He was uncomfortable in disclosing private info but did it sympathetically. We knew of his substance issues but his demeanour didn’t change, this was reiterated by others. Interesting his chaotic life began when he met Amber. He mentioned “she wouldn’t agree” prior to getting married, was this about the prenup? Also that he didn’t want to get married again. When married it appears he wanted to get out, fight or flight!
Amber was an enabler of many dark things that Johnny experienced and all that time spent around her led to “his star dimming”. It’s clear as day.

It's very hypocritical of AH's team to defame JD for drug use, when AH and her team did drugs just as often as he did.

I feel like this case has proven to be fact that being the biggest most famous, most successful, most rich and most handsome actor doesnt mean anything but misery and pain. I think everyone sees celebrities and want their fame and success but Johnny’s life being revealed through this case has really opened the public’s eyes to just how emotional and psychologically difficult it is to be someone like him regardless of all that money

Her "bruise kit" slip is an actual product which looks just like the product her lawyer presented. It's used to create just the redness and discoloration some pictures showed and explains the absence of swelling. The degree of beating she said she suffered would've blown up her face.

As a therapist, this really makes me angry. I know that legally therapy records are discoverable, but this is so intrusive and wrong.
This doctor is very reserved in his answers.
They only saw each other roughly 19 sessions.

@@sherylF5610 it’s not as if this therapist saw Johnny for years. 19 sessions is equivalent to around 8-19 hours. Usually a psychiatrist sees a patient for 30-45 mins per session.
Imagine how much or little the doctors knows about Johnny given that he may have only talked to him for approximately 8 hours.

There are ways. Breaking his hippocratic oath is not something he should do. But if he's been forced to it, I would answer "I can't remember" to every question.
Everyone needs to understand that being subpoenaed/legal proceedings are one of the things that override HIPAA.

Johnny's psychiatrist helped Johnny's case. It proves Johnny did whatever he could to be his best self and asked for help. Johnny had a lot of pain from his youth and fought his addictions. Obviously AH did everything to undermine JD's sobriety because it helped her keep him down and desperate, unable to remember the facts about what AH professed to be what happened.
AH tried to help him get sober. He sent her texts thanking her profusely. My God, you people are delusional.
@@tellthetruthna8523 Johnny is typically very kind in his communications. There is also plenty of evidence that she not only refused to help him, but she deliberately derailed his sobriety. She cut the tip of his finger off, and threw it away - the doctor was furious with her, and had to hunt for the missing finger. He described it as a crime scene.
She's a drunk and a drug addict herself, but Amber is not to be criticized.

@@thickskin6835 exactly so many people watching the trial are so uniformed, today they even went over to another murder trial that reached a verdict because the JD trial was off which was so disrespectful.
And they definitely both were extremely toxic towards each other. I went into this trial completely unbiased but I'm unsure he will win because they were both so toxic. But at least he has his fans back on his side I guess that was the reason for even doing this whole trial in the first place.

That’s why they keep minimum notes. If they are required to submit evidence there’s little to reflect back on.
I was a battered woman and my abuser did not use drugs he was truly an abuser. Therefore when I hear Amber kicking doors etc., I really get upset because I was terrified of my abuser and he went to jail(that’s another story) I got my life back. I got help from a battered women program. I learned so much and I became a winner. While he was in my life I was not a person in control of myself, I became so angry well it’s so sad what my life was.

It was painful watching the psychiatrist testify but I understood that Mr Depp was willing to disclose all of this to prove his innocence. It’s not the doctor’s fault but it still felt intrusive just like the self-harm recording that she made of him.

Everyone is up in arms about this deposition - this benefits JD tremendously. He was chosen by Depp as an alternative to a forensic analyst. A therapist first and foremost, is on client’s side from the beginning, you can tell his therapist doesn’t even want to disclose JD’s personal matters either. He’s clearly uncomfortable. The fact that AH’s lawyers are digging into this in front of the court gives so much EMOTIONAL appeal and validation to the jurors towards JD. JD’s personal life and history is being ripped open to the world and AH’s team are the ones doing it. He did the bare minimum to satisfy the questions and JD has come out of this better for it. Lawtubers noted that the jurors were extremely visibly upset about this.
I’d like to hear about Amber’s obvious issues with drugs and alcohol. She appears to only admit about incidents that have been recorded but there is much more there!

The director actually didn't want her because there was no chemistry. I agree. I watched the first one because of Jason. I didn't know who t f Amber was. I really wanted Emilia Clarke instead. But anyway, there was ZERO chemistry between AH and Jason. It didn't make the movie enjoyable.

Just gotta say. Depps counsel nipped this testimony in the bud quite successfully on the first day of JD's testimony, three weeks ago. This is testimony that is benefitting JD. The fact that JD had to approve his medical doctors speaking in testimony about JD's personal and private records is telling.

Anyone in the medical industry doing medical care fall under HIPAA. Patients information is highly guarded and requires an ROI aka Release Of Information. Mental health professionals are inherently judicious about releasing information about their client because of the complexity of the field. Medical doctors fields are more supported by scan a, blood work, biopsies, etc. The one thing I have seen in BPD and NPD is the frontal lobe of the brain is much smaller which is where emotions and social developement are and when it is damaged it does not develop normally and is therefore smaller.
This just PROVES Johnny is aware, strong and conscious of his issues - NOT crazy or abusive!! (Albeit sad that they had it all blasted publicly, it's okay! I'm not judging!) What's the FIRST thing you learn about facing ANY problem? (Addiction or otherwise)? Admitting you have a problem is the first step! Johnny is VERY aware of his issues and has clearly been addressing them for a long time. SHE antagonized him relentlessly!! JUSTICE FOR JOHNNY!

As a private person myself, I can't imagine the pain this brings Johnny Depp as he permits his whole life to be exposed during this trial. However, he emerges through it all as a gentle, loving soul who is severely wounded and desperately working on finding a way through the chaos of his life. His connection with his fans, who never fail to lift him up must be his solace. I hope and pray that he can overcome his demons and see himself as we see him - an amazing, creative, vulnerable, brave man. Glad he has such a good team of lawyers and loyal friends, but that isn't a coincidence, it is a tribute to his character.

It's a shame that we can't seek medical attention when trying to heal without the fear that all of our personal traumas will be regurgitated for the world to see. JD is human and obviously he recognized that he had trauma to work on and made an effort to get help. We all should have that privilege without having to watch our back. This testimony may discourage truly wounded people from seeking the help they may need. I'm not sure the psychiatrist truly thought through the consequences of him testifying in this lawsuit. If I was Johnny's psychiatrist , I think I'd have politely declined to testify citing the need to keep his medical records private and maintaining doctor client confidentiality.
