In regards to people checking the back of stickers. They may be checking to see if the backing is cut. If it’s sliced down the back, it’s easier to peel the backing off without damaging the edges. Also, it helps you confirm with 100% certainty that what you’re looking at is a sticker and not just a tiny die cut print.
I can’t tell you how many times I or a friend bought a little die cut print under the assumption that it was a sticker, and just ended up tearing it trying to remove the sticker backing on something that wasn’t actually a sticker, or having to glue the print in order to use it as if it were a sticker and ended up with glue gunk on the edges.
Ohhh that makes a lot of sense! I'm gonna make some big clear labels in time for my next con so that people know that they're stickers

How does one find artist alley discords? :o
I did a lot of googling and looking for groups on facebook as well. Some are more private and some are public and massive. Search for things like artist alley, convention exhibitors, convention traders etc. The biggest group i'm in is ANN (Artiat Alley Network) and that one is public and huge. Here's the link:
