I think this is one of the only Tabletop episodes where Will has lost his mind and just played the game for fun instead of competition
I finally got to play this, and I had to play as Krazztar, and used Wil's voice until I was beaten to a bloodless pulp. It was an epic game, 5 rounds

God dammit Wil. Every time you talk about a game it immediately sells out at my distributor, you're making my life very hard.
Lol, that happened to me with Dead of Winter. After watching it on Tabletop I finally decided to purchase it (having mulled it over for some time prior to the Dead of Winter episode) and suddenly I couldn't find it anywhere after that episode! So I had to order it from Plaid Hat Games directly, which was good though because it came with a bonus promotional character.
princealarming85 I pick up stuff at Coolstuff since I live near their main warehouse in Orlando. Dead of Winter was out of stock so I had it set up to email me. Because of tabletop it came back in stock at 4:00pm. By the time I read the email at 5:15 all 30 copies had been sold. I just see it as a good thing, exposing gaming to more people. I hate waiting though.

I love how as the game goes on, they become more comfortable with each other, and their real personalities come out! The loud, weird side of them. Will starting out as his wierd self with no reservations helped

Rexmon Gregory No, he died because Jonah is an idiot that thinks "random" in any sense of the word, is a synonym to "choose". He MIGHT not have still lived due to the shifting of targets yadda yadda but that can't be confirmed or denied. I just know that Jonah elevating a 33% chance into a certain hit on Wil for 3 damage kinda fucked him up.

This has to be one of the best episodes of TableTop! It really helped that everyone got into their characters, that makes Epic Spell Wars so much better.

yeah, multiple rounds are crucial, especially considering they didn't really explore the dead wizard cards, which really have some awesome bonuses.

Also, if one round took one episode, it would only be a 2-parter if Emily won the next round as well... If she didn't, this could go up to 5 episodes. Better to just call it here.

Or Superjail--or even Regular Show for that matter as well... This game is like a mish-mash of all of these styles; like Rick and Morty had an Adventure Time child with the daughter of Regular Show and Superjail or Metalocalypse (we're still not sure who the actual father is).

Every Friday my girlfriend, myself, and a few of our friends get together and play games. One Friday it will be Pathfinder but the alternating Fridays will be random game night where we all bring games and we choose a few to play. After my girlfriend and I watched this episode we knew that this game would be perfect for random game night so we bought both versions within a day. And indeed the games were a success, easy to learn for everyone and tons of fun to play. Thank you TableTop for bringing so much inspiration and laughter to our household and now to our game night.
Jonah's turn at 16:53 was played incorrectly. It should have targeted a random foe, not the foe of his choice. :) #nitpicking #rulenazi
Also, there were two living wizards on Emily's last turn, I think she forgot to count herself, so it would have been two damage. Not that it would have made a difference...
Rules seem to be an afterthought in this game.

I loved this show,. It was one of the gateways for me to get into boardgaming. Started with the Betrayal on House on the hill episode. I remember going out to pick up Betrayal after getting pumped up from that episode and sadly the local place didnt have it, but the guy at the store suggested Mansions of Madness 1st edition instead and I've never looked back.
what Wil doesn't understand is there is a certain amount of strategy in the game.

I've heard more anecdotes about Wil's genitals than I have about those of any other celebrity.
All too often the amazing Wil tries to be funny and his humour sizzles like shit in a toaster, but this episode was well and truly an absolute delight. Many thanks for the 40 minutes of thorough enjoyment!
These voices are just magnificent. I love absurd randomness in my games, i'd have a field trip with this.
I like this game and the art is fantastic. However the game can really stretch out as you're supposed to play till someone's won twice. This can take quite awhile making the game much longer than such a casual ruleset deserves. I recommend playing a variant where you start with less health or just play till you're sick of it.
Agreed, especially since losers get bonuses in the next round, making repeat wins less likely.
Rounds take like 3 turns usually. They played a bit slow, normally a round is like 20-30 minutes in my experience.
Yeah, mostly it does not take that long. It depends if you are doing a bit of roleplay and stuff, and how drunk you are.
Number of players is a big impact. Playing with more than 4, as I typically do, stretches it.
