Volcanos. Are. Scary. Unless youre immune to lava, ash and rock - in which case, youre probably not scared by volcanoes. For the rest of though, theyre crazy events to witness. Most of us havent seen a volcanoe up close but thanks to other people and their cameras, were able to easily see videos of their immense eruptions. We have the best of those for you today. OVERCLOCK EVERYTHING I dont know this but I know Nuclear powerplants are usually near a body of water like a big river or lake. Maybe there was a river near there.
Koeberg Nuclear Power Station just north of Cape Town is pretty much situated right next to Milnerton fault line.
It's in case Godzilla comes to consume the radiation, they can lead him into the volcano. Obviously.
Almost everywhere in Japan is near a volcano.
When you check out a video titled "Top 10 Volcanic Eruptions Caught on Camera", but all you got is "A Talking Dude Caught on Camera"
Just to give a bit of constructive criticism: I think many people (including me) are thrown of by the fact that on a video that's titled "Volcanic Eruptions Caught on Camera" you are always standing right in the middle, basically completely shutting down the fun/reason to watch this video. Either make yourself smaller and put "yourself" in a corner of the video or remove "yourself" comepletely. And the actual Volcano Eruption clips are so short (and you are talking over it the whole time) that it kind of ruins the point of the video.

This videos is for information not entertainment and you can still see the video but he is talking through it so he can give you the right amount of information in a short length of time

lmao number 8 you don't even show the eruption happening and you made the sonic boom 10x quieter than what it is in the originally video, what's even the point of making this list if you don't even give us the clips we wanna see and hear
Not to mention the Mt St Helen's eruption was entirely a simulation.
icecloud - Actually that is a video made up from the stills taken by the camera that survived the eruption, one frame every couple of seconds. You put them together and you get a time lapse video. I live about 180 miles south of Mount St. Helens, we felt it and heard it. Following that eruptions we had warnings about a potential eruption of Mount Hood, Lava Butte, Newberry Crater and Mount Mazama, which is another 70 miles south of were I live. - - - //es//A 70y/o Avid Outdoors Lady
Ah nice, I stand corrected.
The video was made by creating a simulation (or video morph) based on the photos that were taken. The photos themselves were not enough for a proper time lapse as we understand them to be today. Most of the frames in the video were taken from the simulation, but they just fill in the frames in the timeline that were in-between when the photos were taken.

When compiling a top 10 video of volcanic eruptions. I recommend showing the viewers the eruptions. No one came to see 3 second preview snippets, and they certainly didn't come to see your melon.

We watched this at school today and I shouted ITS DANNY BURKE MOST AMAZING TOP TEN and every one shouted YESSS MOST AMAZING TOP TEN
This was more about him talking about the footage, but not actually showing the effing footage or standing in front of the photos we wanted to see. He may as well have said, "We have this neat stuff caught on film, but we're not actually going to let you see it."

Joshua -- I live in Mountain View too! Other side of the road, though, can't see anything from my house. Gotta drive a couple miles down the road -- from there, the lava is about 7 miles away as the crow flies -- and downhill, luckily. Just hoping Mauna Loa doesn't go.
Oh, and technically (per the maps), I'm on Mauna Loa now, not "Kil-ow-ee" anymore. :D

In the early 90's I lived about 30km from the base of My Etna in Sicily. While I was there it erupted and thankfully the lava flowed down the other side. There was still so much ash that I had to sweep and mop a couple of times a day.
Even though that happened I loved the time I lived there and would love to go back.

Loved this video footage and learning where some more are located that have erupted I wasn’t aware of. Maybe do a top biggest eruptions of all time recorded. Krakatoa should be in there even though there is only computer models since it was in the 1800s.

I highly recommend extending the clips. Mount Tavurvur's moment of eruption was was not even in this clip and that was one of the best parts.
It won't hurt you to go longer than 6mins on your video. You still have 4 minutes if you are worried about the 10min threshold.
Part 2 you can do a massive video on Hawaii alone. It's kind of hard to miss.

I love sitting on active volcanoes! Especially when - like Etna, Stromboli, or Sakurajima - you are almost guaranteed an event! They really make a holiday. Perhaps my love comes from having spent a childhood year living in Aden, South Yemen; where the extinct volcano, Jebel Shamsan, is such a feature.

I live in Portland, Oregon. Right in the valley between Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood. Both active volcanoes.
I was only 2.5 when Helens blew, but I remember bits and pieces of it.
I have a fear of either one erupting.
