- Is the Keeway Superlight 125 a mini Harley or just a stylish cruiser? Discover my thoughts in this detailed review!
In this video, I delve into my experience with the Keeway Superlight 125, comparing it to my Harley Iron 883. This bike aims for a Harley-inspired look with plenty of style but faces some challenges in build quality and power. I share my honest impressions and how it stacks up against a larger bike. As this bike will be leaving me soon, I reflect on what made it unique and its overall performance.

Hi THG! - you are so right about this fab learner bike! I ride ours regularly (since it was my son’s learner bike) even though I passed my test back in 1970! It’s the most comfortable ( and economical) bike in our modest collection. Thank you for sharing 🙏👍
Thanks bud glad you enjoyed!
I absolutely adored the bike fair play, and still miss it now. if the styling is to your taste you can’t go wrong with one of these. So comfortable
I didn’t want to ride a 125 at all. But not being on a bike in UK for 30 years I needed to. Needed the practice before big boy bike test and need to be on 2 wheels.
It’s heavy, got no oomph, on hills it’s embarrassing and I’m only 12 stone. But I love it. It’s comfy and fun. A pleasure to cruise around towns and scenic spots and I always think the fuel gauge is broken because even after miles it barely goes down.
You can get 70 on a flat road with no wind but surely no one is looking for top speed on 125.
The baby Harley tag is cringe but it’s just fun.
Bros introduction is spot on ngl 😂😂
Thanks dude 😂😂
That Hardley a Davidson sticker is genius. 😂
I loved it mate, most tongue in cheek practical joke I’ve ever done
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I’ve got a Superlight, bought new in August. Genuinely love it. Obvs Harley is next step when I pass my test. I echo everything you say about comments from people. It’s a cliche but it’s definitely a head Turner. I’ve had no issues to speak of as yet and I’m 2k km in. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Thanks buddy! Yeah I think it’s the first step on a progression path… the only thing is you think it’ll make waiting to get a Harley easier but it makes it that much harder
Just keep an eye on those bolts! It’s the carb’d models that have the most issues
That's my first one as well... next step is an Iron or a 48... parts do not come cheap, nor easy to find. I am in Mexico, from what I hear, finding parts is easy absolutely nowhere in the world
@@albertosotelo9969 I adore my iron, but I did love my Keeway.
Parts is a real pain considering it’s not the most solid a bike so you definitely will need bits at some point
I ride my son’s old 2016 Superlight (carburettor model) - absolutely love it’s comfort, could ride it all day. Top Tip: If you can afford the little extra money, always use premium fuel. (I can honestly say it has made a noticeable difference to this bike’s performance and mine will easily maintain 60 - 65mph on a flat straight road). 👌
Mine was carbed too, you are right the bike seemed much happier! Started up quicker and seemed to fuel easier too
I rode it home from collecting it a good 40 miles having not been on a bike for 8+ years and I was right at home
Genuinely loved the thing, gutted I don’t have it still but the Harley is my baby now
thank you for this video, I think it will be perfect for me, to learn , to begin
You are very welcome! I loved mine and miss it time to time!
Had one. No issues. Well one I dropped it but fixed it in less than a min. Loved it. Just lacked grunt but every 125 does.
Max km ?
Kph? Mph was about 57
Works out about 92 km/h
Thanks for the vid. I wana start to riding a bike and I thought it could be my first motorcycle. As I understand I can ride in the dry weather to work and in the area of my city 😊
This bike is perfect for that mate!
I have it, really having fun with it while using daily to get to work and home.
the only harse is filling air the back wheel, gotta use special device to make it possible..
I remember the tyre valves being awkward as hell to get to but I managed without any special tools!
Great bike. I also have it! The fuel consumption is the best out there
I do miss hardly ever putting fuel in the thing!
i liked and subscribed awesome video i have a keeway i am making into a chopper
Awesome!!!!! Are you making some videos about it?
Thanks for subbing ☺️
Have you seen many people fit the 190cc kit. Im seriously debating on weather or not to get one for work and general schmooze around. Ive scoured the Internet to no avail im one to not leave things alone hance the 190cc mod. What sorta power with the right gearing would i be looking at. I'll be my first bike im wanting to hit 80+mph cheers
No one mate, but if it’s cheap and easy to do I can see it being a great winter project
Despite the name the bike is neither super nor light. It’s slow and a little overweight for its power.
So id you can do something to get it up to 15bhp+ I say go for it, or do as I did and get your license and get a bigger bike
do you remember where you got or designed that hardley davidson sticker i want one lmao
On eBay my friend, have a search!
Im looking at getting a bike and this one is a maybe. Luckily I work at halfords so can get tools cheaper there.
You’re gonna need it 😂🤘🏻
I like it but I’m wary about the wheel quality and the seat when I can get an AJS that has a leather seat, has stronger wheels and has a more authentic cruiser feel to it
You talking about the highway star? That’s a hell of a good looking bike sir 🤘🏻
@@TorOnTourits my favourite bike, getting one soon
@@Secret19977 would you make a video about it? It’s a great looking bike especially for a 125! Would be had one before I passed my test for sure
Hardley a Davidson ....... lol classic!!!!!
Thanks mate, got some great smiles from that !
Can you upgrade the hp
Not really mate, some people do swap the engine out for the 200. Not worth doing the performance stuff for a 12bhp bike
How did you black it out
Was mostly blacked out when I got it mate but any last bits were simple scuff and spray paint
Yeah returning to bike world after 30yrs! Growing old disgracefully 😂 But, in style.
Gotta be done!
I love my superlight 200. I can't(wife won't let me)afford a Harley.
I think you should do what I did
Buy first apologise after
Yeah I understand……. That’s why I ditched the wife! 😂
Whay always Harly... This Benelli to launch Hungary-based Keeway from Qianjiang Motorcycle and Geely name ..... look in the looks of benelli..... classic. thays why i buy keeway.... not the name use for harly lol
Beauty if biking is we all make our own choices and have our own style 🤘🏻
@@TorOnTour and yet the original parts are quite expensive. for a chinese bike hahaha. what will be added some things (for some more customization) because we use these for long trips in uk. Because this bike is not really cheap. and yes must say you must have an eye on the bike and maintain it well. And I've only had it for 1 month.
@@wimcolet they can be tough to find. There’s a store that sells them here in the U.K. but they are expensive!!
Just keep an eye on maintenance, there’s nothing wrong with learning but I’m happy with my Harley and it’s less maintenance
Didn't get your original comment. Are they gonna make these in Hungary?
no we do the 70+ mph by stripping the bike of excess weight and giving it a bit more kick with the mods.
as someone who has ridden this bike for 4 years now i strongly advise against buying the fuel injected model (2016+) because then you will have the same wrong idea of a superlight only being able to reach around 50mph as this guy
Mine was carbureted, but I’m 6”0 and 16 stone lmao
where did u bought that front light?
Amazon buddy would you like me to find you a link?
@@TorOnTour i found it, thanks dude
