- With the new remodeling at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, we had to check out the Carousel Bar and Pink Box. And of course, a visit to one of our favorites steakhouses, Oscar's. This is a fun episode. It really is!

I heard about Pink Box and must go there. Any place themed well is a must visit (at least once). You have to check out Sundae Donuts if you get to NY. The best themed donut place in the US.

I found you guys when I needed ideas for my first time to New Orleans last spring. So helpful! Now I'm going to Las Vegas next week (5th or 6th time) and wanted new ideas. @K C. We just left Oahu this morning, back in LA now. We watched the sad news on the local tv news stations as it was happening, very sad to see. We felt the high winds from the hurricane while were we there. When the Oahu videos release, please keep in mind that the people of Maui were in our thoughts while we maintained positivity while filming our food adventures. We made a donation to the Red Cross through Hawaiian Airlines today.

Glad you guys are safe, and didn't head to Hawaii this week. My heart is breaking, Hawaii truly is paradise. My favorite thing about the islands are the people, they really do treat everyone like family. ❤
We were on Oahu when the fires broke out on Maui. We left yesterday morning back to LA. Heavy winds from the hurricane while we were there.

So sorry to hear the news about Maui, I know how much you love Hawaii and it people. My heart goes out to them.

I was there 50 years ago as a small child. Swam in the carousel bar.😂 That used to be the pool in the shape of a martini glass.
Sounds like it was better back then. I started going to LV around 25 years ago and caught a few of the 'retro' casinos. Much better than the newer ones imo.

We were at Oscars last week…worst steaks we have ever had at a steakhouse- tough and chewy meat. Everything else was great but we were shocked by the steaks. Glad yours were good!
Oh man, sorry to hear about your experience. Thankfully, we've only had positive experiences with their steaks. Hopefully they'll be made aware of this post and reach out to you to make things right.
We agree unfortunately. We tried them based on all the great reviews but were extremely disappointed. The crab cake was very small and devoid of any "lump crab". Definitely not worth 20 bucks. My rib cap was ordered medium and looked and tasted like a hockey puck. The sides and service were good but the side shouldn't be the highlight of the meal.

To each is own...that rib-cap looked too overcooked for me, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I would never call my sister " Auntie" when she looks younger...haha
We can see it being overcooked. But I tell you, that cap at a Medium rare (or even medium for me), it's really chewy. @sayhitomatthew even mentioned the same thing when it comes to rib caps. That said, everyone has their preference like you said. 'Auntie'.. it's an Asian thing. lol. Thanks for watching. =)
This may have already been mentioned The bar and restaurant originally was an open swimming pool and I believe the only pool the UP (Union Plaza) had. Once a Union Pacific train stop. This location became an Amtrak station stop until the stop's demise.

OMG! Pinkbox is absolutely the best! Nothing better on the planet. Unlike Duncan who’s donuts are frozen and Krispy Kreme who sells in gas stations and 7-Eleven, Pinkbox is in the specialty business only using the best ingredients. They rule!!!

I saw this place and thought of you! Maybe you’ve been here already but if you haven’t…..it’s supposedly the closest thing to a “Hawaiian Dinner and Show” experience you will find! The Catamaran Resort in San Diego. They have the “Sunset Luau” only in the summertime. You don’t have to stay there to experience it! Would love to see you review it since you guys are experts on Hawaiian food! It has the shows and everything! Excuse me if you’ve already reviewed it. I just couldn’t help but think of you!

Love your reviews but that medium well rib cap was a crime against humanity. I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted to hear the chef's comments in the kitchen when that order came in.
I agree. In a fine establishment you always order rib cap based on the Chefs suggestion. Medium well is for Sizzlers. I turned it off after that.
I so agree with you I’m from Nebraska and also work at Omaha steak’s during the holidays! Which supplies a lot of the steaks in Vegas! It’s a insult to the cow!

Love your videos. Always a great escape. The #$%^ OVERAMPLIFIED music is enough to immediately decimate the experience of dining and drinking. So sad the establishments are unable to discern between atmosphere and annoyances.
Pink Box is my favorite, the cina roll out and the plain dough cro are amazing! Trying our first official Vegas steak house and can't decide between Top of Binion's or Oscar's.
Don't forget Andiamo's in Downtown too. lol
