I kept my fendi bag which was clearly a display piece but I was ok with it because it was cheaper by 1000 quid. Only the hardware wasn’t great.
If it was full price, I would return it.

I know exactly how you feel. This happened to me at Chanel. I wanted a fresh bag from the back and when I unboxed it I noticed several defects and exchanged it immediately. Definitely exchange it!

Oh no that sucks!! That's why it's best to see them pack it in front of you. This happened to me before and now I request they pack it in front of me because it's my greatest fear that I arrive home and get stuck with an expensive bag I never chose or faults in the bag. Sometimes sales associates play tricks and may pack bags that have marks and get away with it. Best to observe it before it gets packed or ask they pack it before you. that's unacceptable, since it's a sample!

You’re so right! Many times they pack the bags in the back, where they can exchange it. I request to have it packaged before me. These SA’s cannot be trusted.
Romina, I am so sorry! I can assure you that the Bottega store in the UK will exchange it. My friend bought a YSL bag during one of her trips to Italy. After using the bag for only a couple of times, the strap broke. She was able to take the bag to YSL store in LA and exchange it with another bag. I know how much you liked this bag, but you will exchange it. The stores will be open soon. xoxo.

The BV chain bag is really beautiful and the colour choice is more unique than the usual black. It is really unfortunate that this happens to you! It should never happen to anyone for that matter. Since you dont wanna exhange, maybe go back to the store and try a new bag with that colour again. Perhaps u can see you will love it?

I felt your disappointment as I watched your video. Yes, you must exchange and pick the exact bag and watch them pack it as you make payment. But a few years down the road, this leather will show the same signs, so will you be prepared? That is why I have not taken the plunge to buy this bag. Maybe you can make a review after a few uses. @@RominaRoseMay i made peace with it, you can't tell now but when i first opened the bag the zipper pull was dark and i could see a stain and it looked like they covered it up by darkening the whole peice of leather. Also the hardware on the speedy was all different colors 🤔 for that much money i feel like the hardware should match:p

Hey Romina! I’d absolutely return or exchange the bag. Most likely preferably exchange. I’ve heard horror stories of people purchasing bags from a certain French brand, which starts with the letter C that are faulty or of bags that would have had issues only after a few times of usage. However, I have no personal experience with Bottega Veneta. Hopefully it’ll work out for you! Enjoy your weekend!

I actually tried a couple of pouches but they were all wonky and not symmetrical. It just made me gave up on this style. In the end I got the mini jodie and I love it so much. No regrets.

This happened to me with a new Louis bag. At the end of the day decided to keep it. At this price point and luxury level, these retailers need to take better care. When you exchange, you will need to go out and celebrate. xx

Yea that’s not good not pleasant experience but still you can return and full refund which is good. Last year I have bought Louis Vuitton sunglasses on Heathrow airport and when i opened it back from my holiday it was full of scratches so I went to Louis Vuitton shop in Birmingham and they were so nice they brought me the new one and i did exchange it. Which is good at least you can return or exchange the item.
Yea I really liked this shape it’s so pretty and I want it in small size but recently Louis Vuitton have launched scala mini pouch it’s just like the bottega pouch shape bag and I bought it in pink colour it’s so pretty you can go and check on Louis Vuitton website.

I don’t understand why sales associates do this? Why if they make a sell or they know you are going to buy a bag, they try to give you a lousy, old looking handbag😞. I remember when I was going to buy my large Chanel Boy handbag at South Coast Plaza, and the SA was trying to sell me a scratched bag. I believe if you buy a luxury bag, the person in charge should pack it in front of you... Because it is such a hassle buying in an airport, then when you get home to unbox it, you will just get disappointed and stressed because it was not the bag you expected..

Actually the fault is in the leather. The fact that it is only on one side is proof of that. Top grain leather is one of the best leathers but unfortunately can also show a lot of imperfections like scars and stretch marks. Do exchange the bag. It's very classy.

Omg! I do the same thing when I purchase designer bags in person. This is garbage they sold you. You have to be careful, because the SA’s cannot be trusted. You need to thoroughly Inspect, Inspect & Inspect! There prices are outrageous! I wouldn’t spend $6000 on a bag. Also, does the chain hurt your shoulders?

Can you contact the store or better maybe Bottega Veneta customer service department .I am sure Bottega Veneta would not want their beautiful bags stored in a way that ruined their shape and would send you a perfect replacement send your video.
