Most definitely I do save these vintage boxes.I use them for my vintage ornaments.With some boxes, I go a step farther to replace the missing cellophane in the window of the boxes. I get the clear cellophane from the dollar tree and I cut it to size and glue it in place.
Woolworths was part of my childhood! Before I started school my mom would take me there and we'd have lunch at the lunch counter and I'd look at all the toys. She would make me promise that I wouldn't tell my older sister's where we went while they were at school. My mom said I would wait by the front door until my sister's walked in and then I'd yell, "Guess where we went?!?' lol😂
I love that you saved these boxes. The graphics are a part of our history and they just bring back such warm memories. Thank you for making me smile today and making me recall those childhood memories of days gone by😃.

I would have saved the boxes. I love repairing or redoing broken items. I found a snowman ornament holding a pair of skis at his side. The tips of the ski were broken off. I drilled a tiny hole in the broken skis and glued a small bottle brush tree in the hole. Now he looks like he’s holding the tree. You don’t even notice the bottom part of the skis. Inspiration from your projects. Thank you. 😎😎
I would like to think that if I had ran across these vintage boxes I would have kept them but I certainly will now! My hometown had a Woolworth’s and a Ben Franklin’s. I have very fond memories of those stores.

From my childhood I remember the boxes were all either cardboard gray or similar to what yours look like now. The “white” graphics were always kinda grey. Love the Christmas series. Wish I had saved my mom’s boxes.
I wish I could find some of these old ornaments & the boxes because they take me back to my childhood. We had all these old glass balls & tinsel & silvery icicles on our live trees in the living room every year. Woolworths was a 5 & 10 cent store here.

That first box, I love it, it is the epitome of Christmas in my mind's eye. It so reminds me of childhood Christmases spent at my grandparents house. I love them all but that first one has my heart. I just imagine these beauties are flying out the door of your shop/mall, selling out as quick as you put them on the shelf. If I lived within a reasonable driving distance some would be living at my house, for sure! As to would I rehab the boxes? YES! Absolutely would. I have several old cigar boxes from way back, way way back, they are so old and decrepted the top of one is barely holding on, one is an old wooded cigar box that surprisingly still has a hint of tobacco scent in it. So, yes I would and do keep and repair the boxes. Just after you asked that question and I glanced up at my small collection of old boxes the thought occurred to me to suggest to you that you carry on with these precious vignette/shadow box craft using other vintage boxes with smalls added. I love that idea. I think you may have done a few already in past videos but I can't remember if they were as detailed as these are.{?} Any how... thank you Yvonne so much for sharing so many wonderful creative creations, your creative flow is just amazing. I know everyone is going bonkers over the Shiny Brite bulbs, but does anyone remember the Christmas bulbs that had the silky thread like stuff wrapped around them. They were easily picked by everything. And the treads were unfixable. Friend, I liked the double box..
I love this idea because it saves those of us who want to display old world or retro smalls to be able to just grab it in one already put together box and shove it in a space and ‘wala’ done- less messing with arranging, less losing all these tinies, less propping them up- it just look great instantly!

I found 3 of these little boxes with ornaments in them at an estate sale a couple of days ago. One box is not missing any pieces and the other two are. I can't wait to make something with them! Love your ideas!

This is a great idea, and I love holiday scenes. I've seen some people do this with tiny ornament boxes and turn them into shadowbox ornaments. I think you could do something similar with old Xmas card boxes if you cut out part of the lid to form a frame :)

I would have saved the boxes. These are cute, I think the only thing I would do differently is I would have added another layer of cardboard from a cereal box to strengthen them a bit more.

There is a three story Woolworth in Bakersfield, CA. The old luncheon counter is still open for lunch. Woolworth is no longer, it has been changed into a large antique store. It’s great you would love it!
When I was a kid, I went to Woolworths with my mom. They had a very good lunch counter there. I know it's too late now, but did you think you could have filled the box then glue the lid on? I'm still watching the video. Lol

Love these boxes. Wish I could get my hands on them. I’ve been fortunate to find some vintage ones with the ornaments so I still want to keep them intact. Sadly Woolworths have been gone for some time. I’m from the Pittsburgh area and they were a big old five and dime store that expanded over time to sell anything from household goods to parakeets and turtles!😂Some had lunch counters. Boy, I miss them. Sweet to see the old Woolworth box repurposed for posterity ❤

I remember my mother's first artical tree. She bought it at a local florist shop, decorations and all. It was decorated with all those bendy elves and birds. I think I was in high school at the time - 1969 or 1970. Edit to add- I think the boxes with both white and a light cream color. That is definitely age showing, which is beautiful.

I decorate the outside tops of mine and sometimes put trim or ribbon around the box.
