- It's close to the end of the season! Only 2 matches remaining. Both teams can secure a spot in the league next year, but a loss will most likely mean relegation to Division 2.

The Orcs from Bone Clan Marauders can maybe "survive" with a draw, but they will definitely try to win. They have a new player - A Shooter - on the team in this match, and they can be the first team in the league to line up with 3 special skill players.
The Undead from Zarasso's Shadows have mostly been disappointing. They really need to step up to find themselves in the league next season. Nothing but a win will count! They have bought a witch to help them in this match, and also leveled up a player with the use of a personal trainer.
In this match I tested a rule, where a player does not automatically get a chance to pick up the ball if it bounces into the players square. This was a test and is not changed in the rules.

The Deathball League has 6 teams. The teams will compete for points, fame and the Deathball League Trophy! One season is 3 rounds and the teams will meet each other in a random draw. After three rounds, two teams will be relegated and two new teams will earn promotion.

I've watched several BB Bat Reps and never got excited about playing, it seemed too slow and complex, my friends don't get excited about games like that. But every DeathBall match I watch makes me want to put together some teams more and more. The rules are very lean and fast, an elegant design.
It took me a while to understand the subtlety of the choices between rolling 1, 2 or 3 dice, but I understood the appeal of the bet and the decision with each activation.
I think there are several areas where it is possible to expand the rules and provide more options when managing teams, obviously while maintaining the fast style of the game. BB has many resources that can offer the basis for this expansion, as soon as I put together some teams I will start exploring the possibilities.

Thanks very much for watching.. I feel similar about BB games even though I played a lot of BB myself back in the day.. I also understand the idea of expanding the managing options further.. I have thought of options like players on loan, star players, between games events and stuff like that.. So far I’ve not included much of it, but focused on the fast and simple approach and what it’s possible to squeeze down on two pages of rules.. But definitely something I’ll look further into.. 👍
