Thanks for this video; my teacher didn't have enough time to explain every detail needed in the problems (we have to cram about 5 chapters of our book into 8 weeks) and this was the only place I could find what the parameter t meant. You explained it clearly; and provided an example which is fallback for if I had not understood the concept (I just didn't know what it was; but you putting it into words is what I needed, the UCLA department of mathematics didn't even have what the parameter t value is on their "help" page).
Another awesome video from Krista King! I can't refrain from commenting on almost every single video I watch from her. Great content and always done so peacefully. I feel the stress leave my body when I know a calm and clear explanation is on the way lol
Thank you very much for this work!!! I'm a Brazilian student and I couldn't find an understandable explanation in Portuguese, so in this cases I usually look it up in english and I found your video. Congrats!!!
I spend 35 minutes but I couldn't figure out how to do it even practicing examples from book. But after watching this video 👍👍 I understood the whole idea
Can you help me to solve this simple question, please? Determine the parametric form r(t) of the closed curve going from the origin A(O, 0) along two straight lines to B(l, 2) and D(2, 4), and returning from D(2, 4) return to the origin along y = -(x - 2)^2 + 4.
what is dh/dt ???....... well... dh/dt is the rate at which your hair changes either: length, style or color... :D .. (just having fun....) all your videos are wonderful and very easy to follow. I always come back to you to learn or RElearn..... I'm gearing up to understand Maxwell's equations.. so .. I'm having to learn line integrals and surface integrals and multiple integrals.. etc etc..... so Thank you for your huge contribution here on CZcams.. :)
by the way.. I still LAUGH when I see your Video on THINGS CALCULUS STUDENTS NEVER SAY.... , or some similar title.. :) .. You could be an Actress with the way you handled that video!! :) ..thank you!!..
I know what I'm doing. I'm getting the correct answers. But I want to so desperately graph these functions and see what they look like! So difficult to visualize it.
Thank you so much!!! I finally found out how to do it!!!!!
Awesome, you're welcome! I'm so glad it makes sense now!
Krista King very helpful

You are an absolute unit. Thanks amiga
thank you...you are better than my math teacher.
Thanks, perfect example. I had trouble understanding what to do with t, but I needed to plug em in.
I finally understand this. Thanks!
You're welcome, I'm so glad it's making sense now!
Thank you so much Krista
thank you very much! I tried a lot of explanations from books and other videos, this was by far the best

THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome, Rose! :D
why r'(0) parallel to the tangent line?
Can you help me to solve this simple question, please?
Determine the parametric form r(t) of the closed curve going from the origin A(O, 0) along two straight lines to B(l, 2) and D(2, 4), and returning from D(2, 4) return to the origin along y = -(x - 2)^2 + 4.
Great :)
but what if we get a T that doesn't work for all of them? Then the point given does not exit on that line/curve right ? :)
Thanks!
+Overkillius You're welcome! Glad it could help.
Thank youuuuuu
that is awesome. thank you very much! huge help :). I wonder what the picture looks like.
+Jeff Wolfson You're welcome, I'm so glad it helped!
if we do not have a point how do we solve it?
How would you find a point if all your given is r(t) and t=2. Would I plug the t into r(t) to get the point?
I'm pretty sure that's right. That's what I would do.
AS U SAID ...TANGENT LINE IS PARALLEL TO HOW?
Thank you for the help! Your explanations are so concise - I appreciate that so much :)
Thanks for the carry 9 years later
Awwww I’m so glad I could help!! 🥹🤓
you are the best
Greetings! :D
u r amazing thanks!

I search only your channel in difficult situations
