I like how this movie does show how important the building of each robot is, for example:
-Atom was built to withstand punishment, so most of the effort went into making sure all the components stayed on their place, solid structure and good quality pieces, but of course, not a lot of thought in matter of fighting, they didn’t waste their time on programming fighting, hence the shadow program.
-Noisy Boy was made to be agile, fast and strong on the hits, most of the efforts must have gone on developing systems with fast response to commands, however, in order to do that, they needed lighter materials, which doesn’t mean good quality in matter of durability, so when it was thrown into a lawless pit, it didn’t last an actual deadly blow.
-Metro is clearly a Frankenstein, built quite roughly, with anything that was available, and with the consign of dealing the most damage, but also with the idea of withstanding punishment as it’s a catching robot, so it was heavily armored, it is clear they expected damage to be dealt on the chest or limbs, not the head, which is the less armored part of the robot, it was also unbalanced with the right side being the heaviest part as a big trap, and the left side lighter to deliver fast hits.
-Midas is a robot built for agile attacks, more like a martial arts robot rather than a boxing robot, with the limbs less armored to have more range of movement, and reinforce the armored on the head and torso. I couldn’t catch a weakness during that fight, but Noisy Boy managed to give some fight because it was also a robot built for fast attacks.
-Twin Cities was built to be able to cover blind spots and deliver strong attacks, however, it used so many complex and delicate mechanisms to accomplish said objective, that no matter how much armor was set, the right hit in the right moment, could be catastrophic, the armor seemed more of a show off than a full protection.
-Zeus was clearly built to deliver deadly blows, a one hit KO machine, thus, the scenario of going all over to more than two rounds was dismissed, leading to its biggest problem, energy, the longer it fought, the slower and weaker it would get, leaving a lot of breaches for the opponent to deliver hard hits, however the builders seem to not be that full of themselves and actually equipped proper armor.
-Charlie’s robot at the begging of the movie, I forgot its name, seem to also be built to withstand mild punishment, but deliver good hits, however, they joints seemed to not be completely secured, hence a bull, which was likely genetically enhanced, let’s remember this is a not so far future, was capable of defeating it by striking directly at the limbs.
The far future from 2 years ago. Also you did excellent pointing out the mechanics of the robots and it shows the creators creativity and good writing on the robots. I will also say that if I made a boxing robot I would only put in one tiny flaw with all the strengths of the others.

Imagine if Charlie was as good as this during the Midas fight
as good? max almost got atom destroyed charlie helped atom by making him dodge charlie is way better
He is good...like he is a boxer...but he was just not that good at robots..ya know...
@@Mrtopeditor900 Yeah but Charlie didn’t learn all of Noisy Boy’s moves so he lost
He is good, Noisy gave Midas a run for his money during the first moments, he just had a massive ego and thought he could finish the fight too early, which ended up in Midas being able to counter attack because he wasn't damaged enough to receive that last, slow punch without beign able to do something.
Something similar happened to him with Ambush, just a bit more obvious, started celebrating too early, the bull got up and made Charlie pay the price.
After that he kinda learns, and he actually does the opposite in the fight with Six-Shooter, the cowboy starts celebrating too early, atom gets up and makes him pay the price for being too cocky.
Edit: Another thing I didn't consider was the fact that Charlie was using a Leagu Robot in a Underground fight, so he wasn't able to do much against kicks and illegal moves
Metro looks terrifying, and I like that. I like the grotesque look they gave it, since it’s an amalgamation of parts from past robots that lost.
I wonder what other robots were used to make Metro, and if they had names at all.
Theory time;
The blue parts belonged to a bot named Piston, and he was the slow but heavy hitter. Thanks to his weight he lost his first match and got scrapped.
The yellow clamp foot belonged to a bot called Constructor, equipped with crane claws and two feet to pin opponents. He likely lost after getting himself stuck, ultimately getting scrapped.
The sledgehammer arm used to be part of a bot named Demolisher, who's arms were as you would guess: replaced with sledgehammers. Definitely lost after getting an arm ripped off and used against him.

metro goes crazy after that hit to the head LMAO
Eli Thomas it's a system failure one of the system things were on metros head
Bmoney07 and then he does a double uppercut and the system broke so king pin lost control of the whole robot so metro couldn't tell were king pin was hitting at so he got a mach truck to the system at the top of the head then he couldn't move
Eli Thomas and also do u see that flat bump on he's head that's a system

Just when I thought that this could not get any better, the song from NFSMW kicks in.
3:18 when I'm trying to rethink what I was about to say
Metro is quite good at dealing severe blows but he has a lot of weaknesses: number one is that his sledgehammer is very heavy meaning he stumbles if he misses, the second is that he hobbles around making it easy to predict his attacks, the 3rd is that he is made up of scrapmetal and isn't well protected, his abdomen is mainly a mass of fencing meaning a punch to his gut would destroy him as well and the final is that his left leg is primarily hydraulics meaning a miss of his foot clamp opens up an opportunity to destroy him
On a wiki, I read that some parts of the Metro are made with mesh (on the head and torso) and this makes it fragile.
And also, his weakness is his chin. I heard that all of Metro's controlling chips are located in his chin. Meaning if any bot hit him there, he would be overloaded, uncontrollable and terminated.

as a big fan of karate kid/cobra kai i have to reply to this comment. I know alot of cool characters with mohawks, i'd say the writers immidiatelly think of crazy characters when they think about a mohawk. For example Vaas from far cry 3, that blonde guy from saiki k. Duncan from total drama and rebeccas brother from cyberpunk edgerunners. All are very funny and entertaining to watch but is kinda unhinged and crazy.
