      To me it was perfect in San Diego 1992 recording. Seattle 89 also kicked ass, but the audio guy made the crowd too loud for me and it's not as good as it probably could've been... This is also damn near perfect, but not as good as San Diego.

      This is good but I still cannot find a concert that beats the intensity of the 1989 Seattle concert. I know it helped because it was shot professionally for a DVD but still. Do you know of one better? I have seen some that come close like one where they played master at like 1.5 times normal speed and you couldnt even see James hand through most of the song it was epic!

      He can still sing like that, he's just hella cautious because he doesn't want to damage his voice like he did on the Black Album tour. Listen to 2016 AT&T Park show, he uses grit in his voice. 2008 performance of Bleeding Me (at about 6:11, he screams just like Seattle 89)

      Nazar Ushakov По поводу современных видео и концертов - аналогично. Я когда первый раз увидела концертные записи в Сиэтле 89-го года и в Тушино 91-го, то мои эмоции на тот момент просто невозможно было передать словами - это нечто невообразимое, феерическое, и еще куча подобных эпитетов. А сейчас, иногда натыкаясь на видео современных выступлений, сразу почему-то тороплюсь переключить, да и на концерт тоже нет особого желания попасть. Да, шоу у них сейчас довольно-таки красочные, но для меня это второстепенно.

    This is the real Metallica. They are now tired old versions of themselves. They still are good at what they do, they just don't have this anymore. Also Newsted left, in my opinion they have never been the same without him. This is why I love Metallica, when I first heard them in 1986 they were like this. Now it is a corporation and about the money. Maybe the next album will be good, but it wont be memorable as their first five albums.

      What I never fully understand is why their talent disappeared between 1991 and 1996. Really, if you won't play anymore thrash and have long hairs, at least try to play something more sophisticated, evoluted, not two trivial albums (load & reload) two pure shits (lulu and st anger) and only one decent album (death magnetic), money can really turn upside down people...

    • @johnbrown6739
      @johnbrown6739 Před 9 lety +5

      Javier Ahumada I agree with you brother! Newsted is a good bass player but not even close to as good a bassist as Burton was. Lightning & Puppets have the best bass lines out of their entire career!! The guy that said Justice has the best bass sound is a moron. There is hardly any bass in the mix whatsoever. Cliff kept amazing rhythm, but also had such a melodic style for fills and leads as well. Anyone who feels differently, listen to "Orion"!!

      He can still sing like this but he had done it again in 1993 I think and he's more conservative with his singing style since then, so that he can still talk when he's older.
