Always interesting to watch people tour and visit especially via train and boat
When i was a kid my dad used to take me to the train station and the docks and we would just sit there watch Via Rail trains and tourist boats dock/undock ^_^

The building beside the hotel with the U.S. flag is the American Consulate and the upper floors is the residence for the Consul general and family. Beautiful inside. The Vendome Restaurant (closed) was one of many great French restaurants in Quebec. The building that looks like a chateau on the left leaving the train station, was the central post office for Quebec up until the 1970s. The Citadel is the home of the Royal 22nd Regiment known as the Vandals, and is the summer residence of the Governor General. Quebec is the only walled city in North America and the gates you see are part of this. There are 4 gates and there is a walkway on the majority of the wall.

@@glaframb It is the Vandoos, and this Francophone regiment, gave it this name, because the 'vingt deuxs' did not sound right across multiple languages.

Château Frontenac has a long political history as well: the faith of WW2 was decided there with a meeting between Churchill,Staline and Roosevelt.
