I must have watched this at least twenty times by now. The poses you draw are so dynamic and the expressions so vivid. The music choice and the timing of the frames made the story and emotion behind it immensely clear without a single line of dialogue-it's incredible! This animatic really made me fall in love with the characters you and your friends created. The way that Ernest's flashback to the killing of the twins mirrors the way his own guilt is killing him inside... the storyboarding in that was superb. Thank you for sharing this work of art with us.

The animated bit made my jaw drop!! It really looked great. I love how each animatic frame tends to go fast along with the song. The fight choreography also is great! It's really hard to give even dynamic poses the fluidity you drew them with!!!
losing my mind this is so good!! the way the beat of the drums matches with the swords clashing near the end is brilliant and your art style is so lovely... the way you create movement is so interesting and pleasant to watch

i keep coming back to this animatic day after day and i keep losing my mind over it...the story telling...how much you convey using very few frames.......im going insane!! genuinely so good i need to know more about this guy and his gay little crew.
Now that I've had a moment to collect myself after coming back to this several days in a row I haft to say. You have an incredible knack for pacing and story telling. A lot of animatics can be pretty and well drawn but maybe not fully concise visually. You can see the story here without much problem or room for confusion and its lovely. The camera movements are very dynamic and well planned out, and boy howdy the character expressions are on point. The shock and maybe subtle traces of fear that shifts to anger and frustration on Ernest face during the final duel. It changes subtly and Idk I find that really pleasing to look at. Also side note, I have a character with a rapier and I never once thought about the idea of the double rapier and you have awakened something in me. Its time to study some more fighting styles I see.

GOD this was WONDERFUL!!! every time the swords meet in the beat of the song I wanted to explode! Amazing!!! this was so well paced and engaging I love it
This is instantly my favorite animatic ever, not including animation ive never seen storytelling as provoking and well paced as this. The art evokes many specific emotions, and the characters are well thought out. Ive been watching animatics for years and this one dropped my jaw!!

When i tell you that this video has a deep seeded hold on my psyche, what i mean is that i Feel the lyrics and the resonance within the anamatic and my heart, that i am dragged kicking and screaming to tears to the point that i feel the need to dance it out.

Man your animations are so fuckin cool! I loved the animation Brutus, will that be any part from your dnd, or ever again touched on? Also if you ever do anything more than animation, a video of what your dnd sessions/ what the story is would be cool too, but if not your animations are amazing and I seriously hope you enjoy this enough to keep posting!
Now that I've introduced these three characters (Cadogan, Mouse, and Ernest), I'm really tempted to make another animatic following what happens to them next! The videos I've posted up until now have been based on their backstories, so there's a whole campaign full of content to draw upon. It's just a matter of finding the right song / inspiration :)
As for the campaign, it's been finished for a year, and unfortunately none of the sessions were recorded. I'm really flattered by the interest, though - I've thought about typing up a plot summary for interested parties to read, but I hadn't thought about making it into a video. I didn't know people would be interested in that!
As for continuing to post, I definitely will! I have several other animatic projects (albeit unrelated to this campaign) in the works - not sure what's going to get finished first, but I'm definitely still invested in working on them.

@@elenaa2183 i highly encourage you to, your animatics and storytelling are so inspiring, genuinely. really made me think about how i can spice up my own oc lore!! i'm really glad everyone else is able to put into words why these animatics are so good because you deserve to know oml. they do a wonderful job hooking you on the character's story in such a short amount of time, and i'm so invested in your campaign's characters n i want to give all three of them a hug (their designs are all wonderful too! just another thing i really enjoy about all of it aaaaa). i'm absolutely invested and would love to know what happens next w our trio :>

How does this not have more attention? It’s a song-length animatic with loads of detail, sync with the song, and the drawings are incredible!
