I just heard Luke Jackson is getting 7 years at 900k..lol, how can anyone give that sort of a deal to a bloke who is nowhere near the top 6 ruckmen in the game.. & TDK being offered between 800k-1m a year.. what is going on with these deals..
Love it how they can argue different opinions in a civilised manner. Almost as though they understand the difference between opinion and fact. Something that seems to be lost with so many these days
They played a Swans team missing it’s back line, part of the midfield and half the forwards. Not discounting the fact that they are also missing key players from the GF, but given who they were facing and in the balance of things they should have won by more.
@@canto10mosha65 Geelong were missing several premiership stars from their line-up for last weekend's Grand Final rematch too. Among them were Rhys Stanley, Tyson Stengle, Jed Bews, Jack Henry, and Brandan Parfitt. Also throw in the retired Joel Selwood.
Cox Cameron duo. One in the ruck and one runs forward then you have Cameron/Cox, Mihocek, Mcstay, Johnson as your talls and then Hill, Elliott, Mcreery and Ginni on the floor. Definitely good enough to win a premiership
I think the 3rd indicator more important than injuries is how much have each player improved. In the case of the Saints for example, almost every player on the list has statistically improved at least few % points which makes a huge difference over an entire team.
I think Kane has lost a bit of his sanity this year. The fact he could even suggest Billy Frampton be out of collingwoods best is nothing short of pure insanity. He has to be in the top 5 recruits in the comp. He has proven his ability and he is so critical in defence and his 1on1 is very good. He’s formidable in the ruck but clearly not his main area. Get you brain together kano it’s genuinely been painful listening to you recently On a separate note, Collingwood will start getting players back now. Murphy and cox should be back in the next round or two, Adams finished his suspension and the rest should be back around half way through the season with howe still unsure. He may be back towards the later half of the season. It’s slow but Collingwood are coming back to full strength.
Naughton struggled last season as he was often double teamed in Bruce's absence while Ugle-Hagan was developing. This season he's better placed with Lobb next to him and Ugle-Hagan looking closer and closer to breaking out. Having said that I think in this run of games it will be Marra coming out with bags. He'll have the third defender and is looking ominous with his work rate and lead up game. Naughton is almost a foil for the others at this point.
@@skillsmachine9164 Definitely frustrating to watch. If the other forwards come through well, maybe they move him into the backline again but I don't see it happening because as wayward as he is, he's still getting 50 goals a year or thereabouts. 7th in the Coleman last season despite being double teamed for most of the year, and 47 the season before.
@kossend1 is 2 goals a game really good enough though? The elite fwds really stand out. Like jezza this year and buddy etc in the past. Jezza missed a few last year as well. Jamara has a lot more talent than him. Especially accuracy.
As a bomber, there is NO WAY Parish is worth that. He doesn't run both ways, his kicking is average, he gets a lot of it, but isn't damaging with his possessions, and he doesn't hit the scoreboard.
I'm happy to see him bounce out the back door. He's just another Tom Mitchell. Big numbers and empty calories. We should be able to plug one the kids in.
Naughton is over rated. His best is great but his worst is abysmal. Too much of a gulf in between. Also I would'nt want him having a set shot if my life depended on it. He should be moved down back, he would become a great intercept marker.
In my opinion, Naughton is overrated.. He doesn't do anything extraordinary that other forwards can't do..To be fair, Tom DK hasn't shown that he's worth a $1M per year contract.. If it's based on predictions and future prospects, that's a different conversation
That very last line was very hypocritical from David King. He said it's early days, only Round 6, let's wait until Round 16. Wait for what? After Round 3 when Geelong were on the bottom of the ladder as the only winless team in the competition, David King had this to say;- The Cats are gone, cooked, it's the end of an era for them. They won't make the finals this year. When it was only Round 3. Now he is saying it's only Round 6, so let's wait until Round 16 to make honest assessments about other teams' aspirations. Why wasn't the same slack given to Geelong after Round 3? Typical David King showing a genuine hatred towards Geelong. Now that Geelong are getting back to the form that won them the premiership in 2022, David King is going to be looking very foolish within just a matter of weeks. You never ever write off Geelong.
See the thing is Kane is that he’s shown nothing to suggest that he’s a forward. So I don’t know where this notion that he can play forward comes from.

naughton’s one of the most overrated forwards of all time lol. he can’t kick. he can’t kick. he can’t kick. we get excited by him because he can mark it well and it’s a sight to see him mark it sometimes. but i wouldn’t back him to kick over 50% of shots from 25 out on a slight angle. he has to be ON with marking and marking in very close proximity with goals to kick bags.
Naughton not overrated? Please Kingy. Less than 2 years ago people were saying he's the best key forward in the comp. He has never reached those heights, despite getting plenty of service (as Kingy said)
Charlie Dixon is overrated. Pumped up by the media. They say he is elite but they also say Tom Hawkins, Jack Riewoldt is elite and that's laughable by putting Charlie Dixon in that group.
