Oh PIL, people hate(d) them or love(d) them. Sell outs from upset punks vs. originality and paving the way for music, either way as Lydon did from the start.
The Super is on but barely used. 98% contribution is all the Jazz Chorus underneath it.

John Lydon is the real deal, nevermind the part-time punks.

What a sound. I have a similar Jag ( 90s MIJ ). You use the most trebley setting, surfy, I guess is the most similar to Keith Levene's aluminum guitars. Any dirt pedal or only the cranked Fender? It is a perfect opening song for their shows, as I saw. I love to play it too.

I'd love to see it sometime for sure. I love seeing older Jags. I did try more mid-tone settings but yes agreed, the trebly side of things seemed much more like his sound of guitars. Going through a JC120 added just the slight tad of chorus I needed. For dirt I mainly use the amp (probably too loud), but I do have a small boost and just a touch of overdrive to really hold hands with the tubes being pushed.

Perfect ending for a gig too timeless just as important as God save the Queen

Can i be devils advocate, youre playing this tune almost correct.
Keith himself was a very good friend of mine and he taught me a hidden note in this song you wouldnt even know existed if you wasnt told , i was his singer in metal box in dub band. id love to show you this hidden note in a private video if youre game ?

@SPExJR I'm surprised because that note stands out to me and in no other cover has anyone noticed it. But i do find it tricky to play.
Really cool that you knew Keith and was his singer. You must have plenty of stories.

Yeah i do miss the guy, often mess around like little kids and have paper ball fights in the plane, plenty of stories
