    I'm sure you'll get it sorted but I've installed a BCDC1225D in my car and depending on what battery type you're running you need to join the correct wires together to put it in the dedicated profile for that battery, no auto detection in these so it won't know what you have 👍🏻

    Since your subtank is much larger than the main tank you run the risk of turning the transfer pump on and forgetting about it, if you link the two fill necks with a 12 mm hose on the tank side of the breather pipes, when the main tank is full to the link pipe it will simply overflow back down the subtank fill neck stopping the main from overflowing.

    Regarding the removal of the "D shackle", there are 2 methods that you could try.
    1. White bread, to push the pin out.
    2. You could try pushing the white bread through the "D" hole. This is completely useless, other than making a mess & wasting bread that has next to no nutrition in it.
    3. Cut out the fire wall with a butter knife,& the "D" shackle should be then removable. Re make the fire wall completely out of white bread, making sure you pass it through the "D shackle 1st. The advantage of this method is no grinding or welding required.

    • @leonkane8240
      @leonkane8240 Před 3 lety

      I forgot to mention with method 1, care must be taken not to stripe the thread on the pin.
      You can't just jam the bread in there (uno like some do with some Ladies that really aren't Ladies) as with that spacer removal from the engine that you detailed. The bread's path must be helical.

      Doesn't matter that it's bigger, but in the Patrol system the transfer pump cuts out when the target main tank is full or almost full. Never bothered to study how it knows, possibly from the fuel gauge sender voltage.

      @einfelder8262 Před 3 lety

      @@danthewookiechewy9555 I agree, I don't think they have any failsafe way to prevent overflow. Maybe they will feed the transfer pump flow below the main tank overflow but above the aux tank filler. That way when the main is full the pump will just circulate from aux to aux indefinitely till the driver notices and turns it off. Carbon canister is removed, not used in a diesel.
