When do you use an o ring vs a seal? My parts kit came with o rings and seal washers, but my existing lines only had seal washers I think. After watching this and another video, I assumed the o ring was used with the seal, but after tightening, my fittings were not seated evenly, caused leaks.

It would be best if you always replaced what the manufacturer originally installed unless the manufacturer states differently under a technical service bulletin (TSB)

Not sure about some of this advice. How long has it been since an O-ring was made that can’t resist mineral oil??
Handling with clean gloves makes sense for a different reason : keeping dirt and debris away from mating surfaces

O rings for car air conditioning were first used on cars in 1939 when car air conditioning was introduced. Mineral oil was the lubricant at this time.

Can you please explain what you mean when tightening the fastener? What does the threads are pulling mean? 4:32
